Enjoy the rich and creamy flavor of this vegan cheese sauce, which can be used as a dip or drizzled over your favorite foods. It tastes great and is better for you than regular cheese sauces because it's made with healthy things like cashews, almond milk, and nutritional yeast.
Ingredients: 1 cup raw cashews, soaked overnight. 1 cup unsweetened almond milk. 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 1 tablespoon white miso paste. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: The cashews should be drained and rinsed. In a blender, blend the cashews that have been soaked, the nutritional yeast, the lemon juice, the miso paste, the garlic, the onion powder, the turmeric powder, salt, and pepper. As needed, scrape down the sides of the blender to make it smooth and creamy. Put the mixture in a saucepan. Heat it over medium-low heat while stirring it all the time. Do this for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until it's fully heated through and the consistency you want is reached. If you need to, change the seasoning. Put it on top of hot pasta, vegetables, or use it as a dip. Have fun!
