I have spent a long time trying to understand “Religion” and “God/Jesus” and what those two (technically 3) things together mean to me. I am honestly still very lost in that ratio but I am starting to find more clarity…at least for myself.

I think it is more important to look at the “to Protect & Serve” aspect within that equation. When I was in rehab, they PREACHED 12 steps AND HIGHER POWERS. To define “Higher Power” - basically just think something greater than your damn-self. The goal…OR PURPOSE, is find something, ANYTHING, to serve, that you feel is bigger than yourself. That may be the moon, mother-earth, Jesus, “God”, etc. - Just find something to connect with on spiritual terms. Kid you not, right now at this very moment, I believe in the moon and in energy. I don’t truly believe in the “Jesus” preached by the Catholic Church BUT I do understand that some people have found a scar_faced way to sacrifice by SERVING OTHERS and that some of those people give their lives to keep others safe, AND some of those people die. It doesn’t matter how we WonderWoman this…because I do have a solid story here. 

Now, lets start fluttering our fairy wings a little further…See - the company I worked for, that I dipped like a little B, is owned and operated by SOLID-SERVING mormons. The entire company itself was built on SERVING OTHERS. I worked for that company for 5 years and had many different_but solid_roles which resulted in me making a variety of amigos. One of those amigos, who I refer to as 3-ac, was the kind of co-worker/&friend, that I respected VERY very much, but also would look straight in the eyes (via messaging apps lol) and tell him THE SOLID TRUTH. 3ac owns a side-hustle business as well, doing the whole solar-energy stuff. He is also a SOLID_MORMON who very strongly believes in SERVING GOD. One day, during the work-day, we were talking kids and the stars/energy and we were right in the middle of a deep but important convo when 5pm hit and I had to go pick up my squirts. BUT 3ac and I continued our conversation well into the evening that night, VIA TEXT MESSAGE, because I called the “GOD RULING” SOLAR/SERVING bro out on some “tough-guy” behavior. But really, he shared something about his personal life with me, then we talked shit a little, and then I shared some really REALLY personal stuff about my life. I did this because I was raised by the most caring and loving parents in the entire world, who I STILL love very very much, and I honestly just didn’t want to see any of his babes (4 girls and 1 wife…YIKES) struggle with some of the roads that I had gone down despite my beautiful up-bringing. 

What makes this funnier is that he has a brother who works for the same company, who is the president of the company. See, back in my earlier days there, I assisted his brother (in his younger VP days) which means I had basically earned my right to sit at the table with 3ac and have a hood but open and honest convo while he was enjoying some well-spent time with his family because it had to do with both of our families. We were all one family at work. And those that still work there will remain as one. To stay on track - my point is, that company is a very diverse company and they have many “breeds” within it and the solid relationships built within it were/are built on love and serving others.
