Paul learned not to let what he didn’t have, overshadow what he did. Contentment calls for simplifying your life. “Contentment makes poor men rich, and discontent makes rich men poor.”
Contentment means my happiness is not dependent upon circumstances but upon the Lord.”
Paul said, “I’ve learned the secret of contentment in every situation.“ It is something you have to learn. It doesn't come naturally. Our happiness isn’t dependent on how much or how little we’ve got. If you don’t learn contentment, you’ll never be happy. You’ll always want more.
Father God, help me to find contentment in what I have, and not in what the world tells me I’m missing. Teach me to focus on the true value of life—relationships, purpose, and generosity—rather than the fleeting desires of the world. Help me appreciate what You have given me. In Jesus' name I ask, Amen.
Since I stopped putting pressure on myself to achieve certain things in life, I've been living more freely. That's why I sometimes find phrases like "follow your dreams" difficult. For me, a fulfilling life isn't necessarily about turning as many dreams as possible into reality, but rather about finding peace with your own path.!
