Righteousness, when it finally unfurls, often feels less like a hard‑wired code and more like a quiet stanza that settles in the mind. It is the kind of truth that sits beneath the surface of everyday choices, a subtle cadence that hums in the background of a kind gesture or a stubborn refusal to abandon someone in need. Poetry, too, is built on those quiet cadences—rhythm, repetition, a delicate balance between what is said and what is left unsaid. When the two align, the result is a gentle, almost imperceptible chorus that can move a heart without shouting. In the spaces between the lines of our lives, we find moments that feel both righteous and poetic: a sunrise that catches the edges of a weary eye just when hope seems to have faded, a shared laugh that echoes in a room too heavy to muffle. These are the places where morality and beauty meet, where doing what is right feels like a lyrical act—an affirmation that the universe does not require grand gestures to be beautiful, only honest ones that resonate with the quiet truths of our being.

UK Librarians under pressure to remove books
So, it isn't just in the US, UK librarians are being asked, if not forced to remove books that others find inacceptable. Link below.
The UK had enough years of conservative prudery, so much so that there was even a comedy show, the Mary Whitehouse Experience. Remember that ? It sounds like the conservative right has taken heart from the successes in the Fascist Regime Formerly Known as America.
That, and there are probably slush monies funding them too.
So, to the handful of readers of this blog, are librarians in other european countries under attack by the Righteous and Prude ?
Answers in the comments are welcome, preferably with links..
A librarian refused to pull books the school called "upsetting," and it ruined her career.

“Solo il tempo rivela l’uomo giusto; il malvagio, invece, lo riconosci in un giorno solo.” Sofocle “Only time reveals the righteous man; but the wicked one knows in a single day.” Sophocles

Hope for the Righteous
The secondary message in Malachi, aside from repentance, is hope for the righteous. The promise of every judgment is the hope of purification, which will bring us, once and for all, exactly where we need to be in Him. Malachi ends with the promise of obedience, the result of the fruits of righteous labor. Many believe righteousness is a waste in this life, with no purpose, result, or reward. No…
