i'm not usually one to write super fancy thoughtful positivity posts or anything like that but as a transfem/fem-leaning/sometimes-fem-aligned xb person that frequents the nblm/xblm tag, i just wanna say:
if you are a fem-leaning or fem-aligned nonbinary person who is attracted to men (solely or not), you are immensely powerful and my heart is full of love and respect for my xblm sisters and sibs.
navigating attraction as a feminine xblm can be *super intimidating* and confusing and alienating because we don't cleanly fit into the mlm/nblnb/wlw scenes, and i am so profoundly proud of us for managing to be ourselves in spite of it.
the same goes double for specifically-transfem xblm. it can be hard to feel like we belong on one side of the gay/straight fence or another when we are so much more than either world would ever tell us we are.
just because we're too far removed from the binary to meet "acceptable" visions of what gay or straight relationships look like does not mean we are undeserving of love and healthy affection like everybody else, and i am fiercely dedicated to making sure that every single one of us knows that.
we are not undeserving on account of our differences. we are not undeserving simply because we do not cleanly fit into the lines of "gay" or "straight". we are not undeserving or predatory or wrong for our attraction to people within the binary while we ourselves exist outside of it. we are not undeserving on account of being unsure of ourselves, even just for a little while.
and honestly, while i'm not going to retype everything with the words flipped, transmasc xblw face really similar struggles and you folks deserve the recognition for your efforts to be yourselves, too. you are seen and heard and loved.
our hearts are tempered with a special kind of radiance; one that will not easily be put out just because nobody right now loves us the way we want to be loved. we were born into a binaristic world, we tore ourselves free of its ability to hold us back, and we are not to be ashamed of ourselves for loving the people that feel like that binary is where they belong.
and we don't owe anyone anything except for owing love to ourselves, and choosing to love those who love us back.
TLDR: transfem nblm/xblm are awesome. transmasc nblw/xblw are too. we rock. i love y'all.
tr*sc*m don't breathe on this post or you owe me 500 USD
having dreams about loving relationships and then waking up single has me like
