imperial titles.
Vasilier - the absolute monarch of the Aetierian Empire, head of state and the temples of Aetier. They are known by many epitaphs: the fire-wreathed, glory-touched, areia-blessed. All who have held this title have, in their own way, survived the treacherous Agonia to wear the crown upon their head. A bloody baptism to mark their ascendance to near godhood in the eyes of man.
---- Addressed as "Your Imperial Majesty," the current bearer of this title is Dantalion vi Aetier'
Vasili - the primary spouse of the Vasilier, their equal and opposite, the neck that ever supports the head. In influence and power in governance, there is little that can match the one with the ear of ruler. They are also the head of the Imperial Harem.
---- Addressed as "Your Imperial Majesty," this seat has remained empty since the death of Titania of Taul
Reilma-Imperessor | Reilma-Imperessa - the heirs of the realm, this is given to the imperial scions that have been granted an Ascension and are acknowledged in their capabilities to rule. It is a coveted title-- and also one of the most dangerous ones to have.
---- Addressed as "Your Illustrious Highness," as of yet the only bearer of this title is Charles Valerius
Kaisarim - the title given to imperial heirs who have been granted an area to govern. Though not required, this title is typically given along the same time as an heir's Ascension.
---- Addressed as "Your Most Excellent Highness" or "Your Excellency", the current holders of this title is Fenice Eucleia and Charles Valerius
Imperessor | Imperessa - A title given to the children of the Vasilier.
---- Addressed as "Your Imperial Highness" or simply "Your Highness," the current holders of this title are Fenice Eucleia, Charles Valerius, Euphemia Helena, Konstantine Leo, and Basil Nikodemus
Imperessor-Syngenis - Given to the sibling of the Vasilier, a title that speaks of great survival and one with a history of great woe. Rarely does a Vasilier-hopeful leave a sibling alive on their quest for power, even full-blooded ones. One must wonder what they have promised to keep their head in the new regime.
---- Addressed as "Your Most Serene Highness" or "Your Serenity," the only bearer of this title is Andras vi Drochona.
Members of the Serarium/the Imperial Harem
Consort-Prima - the highest ranking consort of the harem in the abscence of the Vasili. They help manage the Serarium, maintain order and harmony among consorts, and oversee the upbringing of all imperial children.
---- Addressed as "Illustrious Lord/Lady" the bearer of this title is Illysandre vi Soresi.
Consort - a member of the harem
---- Addressed as "Your Grace," those who hold these ranks are Titania of Taul, Illysandre vi Soresi, Eudocia vi Kallystos, Adelheid of Reisenberg, and Aurelia of Aranthia
Noble titles - Hereditary
Dux - a title awarded to the eight houses of the Evgenii, the original eight families that pledged their allegiances to Kaelstansa the Great and aided im the creation of the empire. They are also given an honorary seat among the Archons of the Synedrion.
---- Addressed as "Honored Lord," the holders of this title are the heads of the eight great houses: Soresi, Lascaris, Kallystos, Mellisenus, Basilicus, Artesia, Diasorenos, Estelle
Noble titles - Non-hereditary
Kyri - Awarded to those who serve in high levels of government of have done great service to the crown.
---- Addressed simply as "Lord," though most holders of this title prefer to be addressed by their position in government.
hi, i’m SNOW.
she/her. infp. twenties.
welcome to my little library corner.
Welcome to my new Intro post! Yes I just recycled this one. Uhh once again I do not know what exactly goes into the making of a decent writeblr post, so here I'll just say that I want to be writing more and thus wishing to integrate myself more into the writeblr field. I have about 83 wips under my belt but I don't think I've ever reached that finish line.
I'd really love to make writerly friends to share ideas and experiences, and keep us motivated through the process that is often solitary before an audience can be reached. My dms are always open for chats and requests. I've got a few fandoms that I'm really passionate about, but LOTR and AKOTSK are undoubtedly my comfort. I write things very much in the Jane Austen style.
Will come back to this intro post when I can think of adding some more of my wips because, ach I am terrible at this spreading any information or promotion about wips and writing. I am trying my best as I've recently joined the ranks of the goblins at @writeblrgarden ! If anybody is seeking a great environment to nurture your writer souls into becoming a writer as you've dreamed of, the garden is the welcoming place for it!
WORKS IN PROGRESS
War of Crowns - an original series
“This is a family’s war indeed. We all have those we love on the other sides.” — Masterlist
Set in a medievalistic world some 5000 years from now, a queen-in-training of a powerful dynasty sees the rise and fall of her family. This is but the culmination of conflicts began generations ago and cadet branches that had spread over the several kingdoms like tributaries of rivers.
In the aftermath of a devastating war that had lasted for a decade, sprung forth from magic and ambition that override all bonds of blood, an ensemble of old players from the old game live in tentative peace until light is cast upon their questionable moves to power.
However, the planet beneath their feet still lives, though its heartbeat may be faint. This series is a big worldbuilding project of several plots, ranging from tragic romance to slice-of-life documentary seeking to deal with the many aspects of what it means to be a Human.
Daughter of the Trees
an Éomer Éadig love story starting from The Two Towers to post canon. Nimbrethil had been living in Fangorn Forest for as long as she could remember. But the greater machinations turning sent her on her way to the land of the Horse-lords, and the Road is far and dangerous but it may lead to home. Or is it truly that home is where the heart is? Sweet fluff, character interactions, cathartic, whimsical thought bubbles on niche things concerning Tolkien and nature. Read on AO3
On Our Own
A compilation of one-shots of Éomer and Lothíriel's political marriage. Éomer is anxious to meet his foreign bride for the first time — he dons the stern mask of a King to feel safe. Lothíriel is afraid to let her fears show that she will fail to do her duty — she feigns confidence and calmness to feel secure behind the walls. Will they be able to carve their lives on their own, without the interference and expectations of families, responsibilities and traditions? Read Here

Tropes, Themes, and Fun Misc Info: 1920s aesthetic, found family, mating bond (one-sided), shifter magic, fae magic, dancing on the line between human and other, magic is returning
Protagonist One: Twenty-year-old Corinth Boneffant, who after the death of his father is named Emperor of Gustana. Has an old royal gift of shifter beast magic. He is (unbeknowst to her) mated to Winifred.
Protagonist Two: Eighteen-year-old Winifred fern-Emyr, illegitimate granddaughter of the Marchioness of Valinar. She is the Basilda Sidhe, a more elven than human sorceress with the power to attack and change nature with the price of physical injury to herself.
Protagonist Three: Ten-year-old Anthony fern-Sybil, who has a deep familial bond closer to mother and son than anything else with his Aunt Winifred. He reluctantly becomes Crown Prince Anthony Boneffant and begins to train with his half-brother Corinth on how to control his own shifter-beast magic and temperament.
A week before the spring equinox, the eldest illegitimate son of the emperor is found dead in his apartment. Known for his vices, it's seen as an accidental tragedy.
That is, until the following week when the emperor, the empress, and only legitimate daughter are assassinated while driving home from the temple. On the other side of the country, the crown prince, Corinth, is attacked in his university dorm room and survives solely thanks to his rare beast-shifter magic. His roommates, however, are not as lucky.
As Corinth, now Emperor of Grustana, is sent into hiding, one by one the former emperor's illegitimate children—who could under duress be considered heirs due to being publically claimed—begin dying. Within three weeks, despite the best efforts of Corinth and the royal guard, only he remains of the once embarrassingly sprawling royal heirs. Should Corinth pass or not have a son, the royal families of the neighboring countries Kristalis and Undhall stand to inherit the throne—and both countries have been on the brink of war for years. The potential for a mass scale war buzzes under the surface like a disturbed bee hive.
Panicked and trying to prevent a succession crisis, Corinth searches through letters and missives from his father's many mistresses, seeing if any heirs remain. A hidden safe box reveals a cache of letters from eleven years prior from the elderly Duchess of Valinar, reproaching the emperor for impregnating her granddaughter. The formal letter made it clear that acknowledgement of this child will shake an ancient alliance between Grustana and Valinar—which is now a part of the kingdom but was once the home of the ancient and powerful fae and is held together by magically-binding treaties. The fae have faded into legend in the sprawling wilderness forests and the ducal family, who had intermarried with powerful fae priestesses for time immemorial, have been for centuries decidedly and boringly human. The marche is now a remote part of the empire but a wealthy provider of natural resources. The former emperor deferred in publically acknowledging his now ten-year old son Anthony to avoid upsetting the legal and economic connections, but regularly sent money for his upkeep and kept abrest of his son's life.
Corinth refuses to let his staff go alone to retrieve his half-brother and a rushed trip by car begins in hopes whoever is assassinating the royal heirs has not already reached the boy.
Unbeknowst to all but the immediate ducal family, the blood of the fae has bred true once again. Winifred fern-Emyr, illegitimate grandduaghter of the duchess, is Basilda Sidhe, a sorceress priestess of nature and blood—and the dearly beloved aunt of Anthony. Her elven powers make her seem more fae than human, unsettling most that meet her. However, despite only being eight years older than him, Winifred has taken a maternal role for him due to them both being "stains" on the family line.
When assassins come for Anthony, Winifred swiftly and violently takes care of them. And when Corinth comes for his brother, Winifred reveals her true nature when she attacks him and his staff. The situation is diffused before it goes any further, but this meeting of magic sparks mating magic within Corinth...but not in Winifred, who is unaware of this development and is on the edge of protective violence on behalf of her nephew.
It is agreed (a bit too readily by Corinth) that Anthony will take his place as crown prince as a temporary measure and Winifred will accompany them, playing the role of governess and seneschal of the duchess in the capital.
However, dangers on the road, in the capital, and abroad loom over the trio as they work to restore stability in the hopes of preventing a world war.
Whether that is possible, however, remains to be seen.
Hello friends! With the start of this new year, I am both trying to be more active on my writeblr and try a new writing challenge to shake things up. So I present to you: the Novel In a Year challenge! The challenge is to plan, outline, and write the first draft of a novel over the course of the year.
Mostly, I just want to see how much I can do on a project if I give myself proper deadlines and goals to meet from the very start of it. This is just for fun and my own amusement. I'll be making monthly updates at the end of each month covering my progress. I have a good start on an idea for what I want to do for this project, so expect the WIP intro for it soon! I'll be tagging everything for this challenge as Novel In A Year Challenge.
