The 2024 Hobey Baker Award Banquet & Golf Tournament was meant to be in Minnesota on August 8. The Celebrinis told them that Mack wouldn't make it since they would all be celebrating his grandfather's birthday. So the committee rescheduled the dinner and tourney to August 1. (I don't have to tell you how hard it is to reserve an entire golf course and then reschedule.)
But Rick and Robyn still "couldn't make it". No Golden State Warriors game...no hockey for RJ or Aiden... perhaps, to be fair, some tennis competitions for Charlie. But surely one parent could have made it? Or even just Aiden?
You know who did make it? Mack. And Mack's coach Pando, despite August 1 being an important signing day for prospective BU players. So. That's. A little heartbreaking to be honest.
