Most
In the smallest minutes of silence, when the most of the overwhelming emotions had been vomited out of me, the wind whispered.
Fast
Every step sent a surge of pain to rattle behind my eyes. My ears were ringing, and black dots shot around my periphery. Though I knew I was walking sluggishly, I tried to push myself to walk as fast as possible. Whatever would get me back to my apartment the quickest.
Lost
For that heartbeat, I had lost myself to the fiction I had created. It was everything I wanted. Maybe I could try and get that normal back. Maybe if I understood, then I could feel okay more often.
Test
I was looking for some sort of shark. They sometimes bumped up against boats, testing to see if a boat could be food. I didn’t see a fin, and the only ripples were caused by the water hitting against Ferryman.

I miss rainbow capitalism. I do. I miss when it felt like public opinion was still pro gay. I understand it was always an empty gesture, but it mattered in a sense of knowing how socially acceptable being queer is. If that makes sense.

help me choose a name for my new sci-fi queer Orpheus/Eurydice retelling bc i cant make decisions but this new idea is consuming me and i gotta have something to call it
blurb for the story so far:
The Order of the Light of the Sun holds back the darkness threatening to consume the universe. They bright light to chase out the shadows before they may form and devour the innocents. Orpheus has always been proud of his place within the Order, of the good he can do there. He also looked forward to when he might retire, and settle down on a small, nowhere planet with his beloved. Eurydice has always been the shining light of the Order, trained from childhood to one day sit upon the Sun Throne and spend his very life to ensure the people may live that much longer. To live is to serve; to serve is to die. He has humored Orpheus and his dreams of the future, never realizing they could be anything more than idle fantasy. When Eurydice is sent on a mission that can only end in his death, Orpheus is quick to follow after. He is not ready to give up on their future, and he will fight for it until his dying breath. Eurydice is ready to die; Orpheus will be the voice that draws him back from the brink of death. Now, Orpheus just has to be fast enough to reach him, and loud enough to be break through the lifetime of loyal brainwashing his beloved has been put through.

connectedpapers
the basic rundown is: you use the search bar to enter a topic, scientific paper name or DOI. the website then offers you a list of papers on the topic, and you choose the one you're looking for/most relevant one. from here, it makes a tree diagram of related papers that are clustered based on topic relatability and colour-coded by time they were produced!
for example: here i search "human B12"
i go ahead and choose the first paper, meaning my graph will be based around it and start from the topics of "b12 levels" and "fraility syndrome"
here is the graph output! you can scroll through all the papers included on the left, and clicking on each one shows you it's position on the chart + will pull up details on the paper on the right hand column (title, authors, citations, abstract/summary and links where the paper can be found)
you get a few free graphs a month before you have to sign up, and i think the free version gives you up to 5 a month. there are paid versions but it really depends how often you need to use this kinda thing.
researchrabbit works similarly. you do need to create an account to use it, but it is completely free (as far as I know), meaning no limits to your collections/graphs.
