#windows help

See, I like recording and making videos using my own gameplay, and I want to record some games that pull from my files to break the 4th wall (Sonic.exe, OneShot, DDLC, etc.), but they're still using a name that I don't want to have in videos- or at least exe is, I haven't checked OneShot or DDLC. But I've changed everything I can think of, my Microsoft username, my administrator name on the PC, my Users folder name.

how the fuck do you get rid of this toolbar. i don't know what it's called. i don't use any of these apps because i don't like them. i've tried turning this off with settings in edge even though i don't use edge and it shows up when edge isn't running. this is windows 10

i've tried googling it but i don't know what to call it anymore since all of my previous searches for how to fix this haven't worked for more than 10 hours

unfortunately at the time I made the settings changes I was a) v stoned and b) using an incognito browser to do my research so I have NO CLUE what I turned off and can't look at my browser history to find the articles I was working from

it was a minor thing, I went through task manager and picked something and disabled it on startup ((I'm wondering now if it was some sort of sign on services thing?)) and it was fine for a few sign in/out cycles so I I know I didn't directly break something but then the update rolled out and it broke my start menu

if context helps I was trying to figure out how to limit a local user account to certain files/programs, but I'm not 100% sure the change I made in settings directly related to this overall effort

I tried everything on the guides for fixing a start menu that's broken, I downloaded the files and messed with Cortana settings and all the things that should have fixed it and they didn't. I was really hoping another windows update would fix it but it appears to do the same thing it did before of "something didn't go as expected" or whatever that message says so maybe whatever minor thing I turned off somewhere deep in settings broke the ability to update? if you know anything about what my stoned ass could have done pls tell me like it's just a minor inconvenience rn but idk what else could break down the road

I’ve been trying to get a Windows 98 game (The Rocky Interactive Horror Show, if it makes a difference) to run on my Windows 10 laptop. I have a Windows 7 desktop, on which I got it to run through a virtual PC, but the desktop is old and buggy and the virtual PC can’t be fullscreened. Frankly, I just want it on my laptop. I discovered that on my laptop I don’t need to use a virtual PC, as it can be directly installed.

For the most part, it runs fine. The graphics display, the background music plays, the controls work, etc. However, the only issue I have is that the cutscenes don’t work. They are stored as .avi files, and are supposed to play at many points in the game, but instead I just get a black rectangle for a few frames and then it goes back to gameplay. On the virtual machine, they worked fine. What can I do to get them to play correctly?
