Farolacton (ファロラクトン Farorakuton), referred to as Soma in the English version of the film, is a fictional species of berry featured in King Kong vs. Godzilla. It is described as a relative of Actinidia polygama, or the silver vine.
It is proposed in the American film as being able to cause gigantism in animals explaining King Kong and the Giant Octopus.
Which makes the pharmaceutical companies idea of selling it on the market very worrisome for that micro-continuity
I mean...we’ve seen this sort of thing before...
Whatever the case it is apparently quite addictive as the giant octopus crawls onto land to try and steal berry juice being ritually offered to appease King Kong.
