Hola viro, hope it's ok to update you, our housing situation is still messy, we're still in danger of my father-in-law's bigotry but we're back home, my daughter started having some health issues a couple of weeks ago, we managed to get enough help to afford a trans friendly urologist in the next state over She needs an urgent surgery, I can provide you the uncensored prescriptions we got from him as long as you don't make public any sensitive information that might put her at risk The tldr is she got a similar surgery last year but for another diagnosis, turns out is some other ailment and they misdiagnosed her, now it came back and it's making her suffer a lot specially whenever she needs to go to the bathroom, she is developing an infection that could affect her bladder and kidneys if we don't act as soon as possible. Of course we're always struggling to afford groceries, meds but yesterday I got help and could finally pay my healthcare. Thanks!!

UPDATE JUNE 27TH
We've been 2 days in a motel, my father-in-law snapped again, he smashed some dishes. I got out with my kids for our safety. We got enough for rent and other things but im regrettably using most of it to stay at the motel until my partner ends the arrangements so his dad visits his family 3 states away. Im keeping this post up because we may need help affording transportation so we can be finally safe and back home and rent since living in a motel/hotel is more expensive than at home. Someone got us the phones from our throne, thank you so much, i asked for a delayed delivery, hopefully things will be calmer so we can go back home.

Thank you I did pay my healthcare!!! I was hoping with the extra I could get my meds but we ended up using it for food and taking my MiL to the hospital because of gastrointestinal pain, she had to stay under supervision for a whole night and is scheduled for more tests on Tuesday. Weâre pushing her healthcare services to schedule her for a gastroenterologist as soon as possible, she has been unable to eat which has been a terrible combination with her diabetes. Can we ask for help affording her ensure bottles so she can at least eat that? Weâll need to do something about the humidity and mold soon, we get trapped in the rooms often, last night it took us over an hour to be able to reopen a door even with both my partner and me pushing. So. It's been a wild few weeks. But basically on July 15th, this blog got nuked thanks to that stupid "I submitted you to Tumblr for termination, contact me to view the support ticket" thing that's been happening to a ton of people. I created a backup account, @pennywaltzy, which I will keep just in case something like this ever happens again, and I made a new help post there. Fortunately this blog got reinstated and so I am very thankful for that.
I'm pretty much copy/pasting the post on my backup blog, but I really need help. I managed to get the laptop issue I had sorted, and then I had to pay for two bills I hadn't expected which wiped out the money I had raised to put towards the repair, and the next payment of one of those bills (my mom's car insurance) was due yesterday, and that bill was $57. We need to pay that so I can upgrade our insurance to comply with California's driving laws as well as $14 to reinstate my mother's drivers license once I get our insurance upgraded
My daughter has three appointments next week in three different cities (all three trips are less than 40 mile round trips, so I need to raise around $240 for the three of them...one is a rheumatology appointment so we can get Lena on a better arthritis med, one is her therapy appointment, and the third is the root canal appointment that had to wait two months because the original dentist died).
I also need a little bit of help for food before the 1st. Not much there, maybe $40. My GERD is acting up and I'm having trouble eating some of the stuff in the apartment.
So I'm aiming to try and get $325 to cover all of this stuff for now. I have other stuff that needs to get covered, including potentially trying to raise thousands of dollars for my Uncle David's cremation, as my mother was quoted it would cost $8,000 and we currently have no idea if the VA is stepping in to cover costs and inter him at a military cemetery. But for now, I need at least $80 by tomorrow the 20th for my daughter's rheumatologist appointment. Thank you all so much.
So small update! We got a $25 GFM donation which helped cover part of the overdraft on my account, bringing it down to less than $25 so I'm no longer an accidental charge away from getting my account over my overdraft limit. My mom is still about $180 and any help covering that this week would be a huge help, as I have some extra expenses next month I have to deal with because we don't have a working car so getting that lowered would be a huge help. As Lena does not have any appointments this week that require Ubers and my one appointment is covered by medical transportation, any money raised this week will go to the overdraft.
Also, a little bit more good news: there's a meal delivery program my mom was a part of called Mom's Meals, and I applied as well as I had some of the disabling conditions that were required. Thursday they approved my application, so for the next twelve weeks I'll have a week's worth of pre-made meals delivered to the house, which will help with our food issues. My mom's renewal is slowly working its way through the system according to the woman I talked to so fingers crossed it gets approved and processed soon.

Hola viro, hope it's ok to update you, our housing situation is still messy, we're still in danger of my father-in-law's bigotry but we're back home, my daughter started having some health issues a couple of weeks ago, we managed to get enough help to afford a trans friendly urologist in the next state over She needs an urgent surgery, I can provide you the uncensored prescriptions we got from him as long as you don't make public any sensitive information that might put her at risk The tldr is she got a similar surgery last year but for another diagnosis, turns out is some other ailment and they misdiagnosed her, now it came back and it's making her suffer a lot specially whenever she needs to go to the bathroom, she is developing an infection that could affect her bladder and kidneys if we don't act as soon as possible. Of course we're always struggling to afford groceries, meds but yesterday I got help and could finally pay my healthcare. Thanks!!

We've been 2 days in a motel, my father-in-law snapped again, he smashed some dishes. I got out with my kids for our safety. We got enough for rent and other things but im regrettably using most of it to stay at the motel until my partner ends the arrangements so his dad visits his family 3 states away. Im keeping this post up because we may need help affording transportation so we can be finally safe and back home and rent since living in a motel/hotel is more expensive than at home. Someone got us the phones from our throne, thank you so much, i asked for a delayed delivery, hopefully things will be calmer so we can go back home.

Thank you I did pay my healthcare!!! I was hoping with the extra I could get my meds but we ended up using it for food and taking my MiL to the hospital because of gastrointestinal pain, she had to stay under supervision for a whole night and is scheduled for more tests on Tuesday. Weâre pushing her healthcare services to schedule her for a gastroenterologist as soon as possible, she has been unable to eat which has been a terrible combination with her diabetes. Can we ask for help affording her ensure bottles so she can at least eat that? Weâll need to do something about the humidity and mold soon, we get trapped in the rooms often, last night it took us over an hour to be able to reopen a door even with both my partner and me pushing. July 14 Wow sorry for the late update. I have been out of my mind with a kidney infection and sort of forgot tumblr exists. Apparently you go crazy bit if a staph infection hits your kidneys. I am having to raise the goal because we have taken a huge financial hit from this, esp with me missing some gigs that would've been very profitable. All of this is all the more urgent, and I have a surgical biopsy coming up coming up on the 23rd in regards to my cancer scare. Other surgeries still happening but I am being switched between surgeons again because of the complicated nature of one of those surgeries.

$5 has been recieved since this was posted. I had posted previously about needing medications for both myself and my fiance that insurance wouldn't cover, we got mind, and we arent far from gettinf his. We are currently estimating between the med for him that insurance won't cover and the food for the weeks in the hospital after surgeries, we will need $1,245. Obviously insurance hasn't yet processed everything, but insurance is expected to cover everything else. All things considered, this is extremely cheap for a handful of gender affirming surgeries + surgeries that will treat long term organ damaging health issues. It is also not something we can achieve by ourselves. Huge thank you to anyone who shares or helps. It feels really surreal to be getting all this scheduled during pride month in an increasingly fascist country.

So. It's been a wild few weeks. My daughter has three appointments next week in three different cities (all three trips are less than 40 mile round trips, so I need to raise around $240 for the three of them...one is a rheumatology appointment so we can get Lena on a better arthritis med, one is her therapy appointment, and the third is the root canal appointment that had to wait two months because the original dentist died).
I also need a little bit of help for food before the 1st. Not much there, maybe $40. My GERD is acting up and I'm having trouble eating some of the stuff in the apartment.
So I'm aiming to try and get $325 to cover all of this stuff for now. I have other stuff that needs to get covered, including potentially trying to raise thousands of dollars for my Uncle David's cremation, as my mother was quoted it would cost $8,000 and we currently have no idea if the VA is stepping in to cover costs and inter him at a military cemetery. But for now, I need at least $80 by tomorrow the 20th for my daughter's rheumatologist appointment. Thank you all so much.
So small update! We got a $25 GFM donation which helped cover part of the overdraft on my account, bringing it down to less than $25 so I'm no longer an accidental charge away from getting my account over my overdraft limit. My mom is still about $180 and any help covering that this week would be a huge help, as I have some extra expenses next month I have to deal with because we don't have a working car so getting that lowered would be a huge help. As Lena does not have any appointments this week that require Ubers and my one appointment is covered by medical transportation, any money raised this week will go to the overdraft.
Also, a little bit more good news: there's a meal delivery program my mom was a part of called Mom's Meals, and I applied as well as I had some of the disabling conditions that were required. Thursday they approved my application, so for the next twelve weeks I'll have a week's worth of pre-made meals delivered to the house, which will help with our food issues. My mom's renewal is slowly working its way through the system according to the woman I talked to so fingers crossed it gets approved and processed soon.
