why am I still opening photoshop for a 5-second edit
genuinely asked myself this the other day. needed to slap text on a photo and draw one box around a screenshot detail and instead of booting up photoshop I found a browser editor that just does the basic stuff instantly. no install, no account, free.
the kind of edits that don't need a real design tool
text/caption over a photo for posting somewhere
a box or circle to point at something in a screenshot
brightness/contrast fix because the lighting was bad
slap a filter on it (grayscale, sepia, whatever) for a quick mood change
none of this needs layers or masks or a design suite. this handles it in like a minute.
what's actually in this editor
free, no install, no account
5 tools: select (move/resize stuff), freehand draw, text, rectangle, circle
8 filters â grayscale/sepia/invert/sharpen are one-click, brightness/contrast/blur are sliders
everything you place (text, shapes) can be clicked again and moved/resized individually
saves as png
runs entirely in your browser, nothing gets uploaded
how it works
upload your image
pick a tool
text: type it, pick color/size
shapes: pick color, filled or outline, draw it
freehand: pick color/brush size, draw
click select tool to grab anything you placed and move/resize it
hit a filter or drag the brightness/contrast/blur sliders
download as png
when I actually reach for this instead of a real editor
quick social posts â text over a photo, done in under a minute, ready to post
product photo fixes â bad lighting? bump brightness/contrast. want a "sale" badge? just type it on
screenshots for docs/blog posts â circle or box around the important part instead of describing it in words
faq basically
can I move stuff after placing it? yeah, select tool, click it, drag/resize.
what filters? grayscale/sepia/invert/sharpen one-click, brightness/contrast/blur as sliders.
save format? png.
does it upload my photos? nope, all browser-side.
not trying to replace photoshop, just â for the 90% of edits that are actually this simple, this is faster.

also have a watermark tool and crop tool if you need those too. more free stuff at the ImageStream hub.
