The confrontation I want to see in future Avatar (James Cameron) movies isn't between Quarich and Jake or humans and Navi. It's between Quarich and Norm.
We see him using so much tech and doing so much life science that it's easy to forget that Norm Spellman is an anthropologist. Unlike Jake and Spider, he's not trying to be Navi, but he has associated with them very closely, and he knew how to study and recognize what he was seeing.
Quarich has bitten off more than he can chew with Varang and with Ardmore. I just want to see Norm sitting there, maybe physically restained, saying, "Hey, in your military subculture, isn't a general supposed to return a salute?" "Yeah... You're supposed to make up your mind about the woman and then do the neuro bond that mates you for life. Mazel tov, by the way."
