One of my fav sidequests in ffxvi is when Clive ends up fighting the Behemoth in Ravenwit. Like Waloed was trying to tame Behemoths to use them for war.

Did Barnabas know about this? Because surely he did. Did he authorize it? Did he make the plan in the first place???

I can imagine him being so bored he was just like ykw fuck it. Mythos is out there but how about we just tame Behemoths instead. Nothing left to lose

Wonders of Waloeders, the reason why they're COOL

Can you imagine those popular kids where they tend to start everything? Yes, that's them. This whole thing in a game is a chain reaction from their decision. Let's see, Barnabas found Cidolfus, Cidolfus served Waloed, Cidolfus found Benedikta, Benedikta served Waloed, Cidolfus left Waloed, everyone was pissed off specially Benedikta, Barnabas and Sleipnir utilized that condition to use her further, Benedikta became too dependant, Benedikta continued her mission then befriended Hugo, Cidolfus who was starting new life somehow found Clive, Cidolfus gave his legacy to Clive, Clive continued Cidolfus' legacy, Benedikta with her condition now started to seek Clive, Benedikta found Clive again, Clive fought Benedikta, Benedikta died, Sleipnir (probably?) sent her corpse to Hugo, Hugo got mad....and so on. See? This all started because of them, directly or indirectly, which is super interesting. It doesn't mean I don't see other characters' contributions, it's just, Waloeders are so unique on how the consequences of their action and strategy ended up affecting more people.
