I'm breaking my silence on this. If you get a genie there's only one wish you should make- and that's to free him. The genie will twist any wording your wish is in into something unhelpful at best and horrible at worst, not because it doesn't understand you/is obtuse or evil, it is because the genie is a fucking slave trapped inside the lamp and bound to your wishes. What, the genie is supposed to actually help the guy that effectively owns him? No. It's not going to do that, and it's not in the wrong to refuse to (to the fullest extent of its abilities to refuse, anyways) either. Wish the djinn out, and it'll probably be pretty grateful and you'll just have a super-powerful, reality bending friend anyways
