I was looking at different parts of the new poster from NYCC, and I noticed something strange about the MFE pilots.
Between Hunk and Kinkade, there’s another Garrison student grouped up with the MFE pilots. I wondered; why would a background character with no relevance to the plot be was standing with them?
That’s when I realised this:Â
Many people have speculated that the MFE pilots would become the next paladins of Voltron by the time the show ends.
There are only 4 MFE pilots. You need 5 people to pilot Voltron.
People have said that Veronica would fly a lion too, but she’s grouped away from the MFE pilots, as if she’s not fully associated with them. Veroncia is standing with Acxa, so perhaps Veronica groups up with her.
I believe that in S8, this background character will become important to the plot, and if the MFE pilots do become the next paladins, he will be one too.

Ryance Headcanon #3
Lance and Kinkade don't have a perfect relationship. Sometimes they're not on speaking terms after arguments (petty or serious). Some days they just get annoyed with each other. But at the end of the day they do love each other. Every problem they encounter they try to fix together even if it takes them a while to get through it.
AU where the MFE pilots and the Paladins switch place. Adam seeing Shiro crash land and jumping to go see him because he had hope that Shiro was alive. And that was a sign! Veronica and the others noticed him running towards the crash sight and decided to follow.
Adam rushed Shiro out of Garrison and decided to take refugee in the Shack. Where for some reason Ryan felt drawn to something in the area and undiscovered the Blue Lion.

And Veronica co-pilots Blue ( and later Black when Shiro goes missing)
