Throws an Adam and James hc at you, catch!
This is a projection cuz of the tape on the headphones but I think it works
James has these pairs of headphones he’s had for like YEARS now. They function perfectly fine but look really rough and worn despite the quality being barely messed with. They’ve been with him since like what, middle school? One day (in middle school) he saw that they were cracking from the sides and were at the risk of being further damaged. He knew he couldn’t ask his parents for electrical tape because they don’t have any and it’d likely end in a lecture abt “take care of ur things” bla bla
So he strolls into Adam’s class room, peaking his head through the doorway. Adam was a nice teacher but he was still sorta strict. So this being one of the first interactions James had with the man outside of class made him a little nervous 🥹 he asks Adam if he has electrical tape, and shockingly enough he did!! Adam gave James his own small roll of it incase the tape wore off. I think this interaction gave their dynamic (mentor & student, basically father and son icl)
Its lasted him years and even still owns half the roll even after Adam passed and post war. He buys the same brand of tape present time since a part of him refuses to use that roll of tape. It’s one of the last thing he owns that reminded him of Adam in anyway
