cosmic voids (also known as dark space) are vast spaces between filaments (the largest-scale structures in the universe), which contain very few galaxies or matter.

there is a common misconception that voids are COMPLETELY empty, but the fact of the matter (haha, get it?) is that:

"the actual matter content of the voids is not clear, and there can be a lot of matter, which is invisible or almost invisible for the observers. first, the voids may contain a lot of dwarf or dim galaxies and some rarefied gas. secondly, there can be a large amount of dark matter."

"although even the emptiest regions of voids contain more than ~15% of the average matter density of the universe, the voids look almost empty to an observer."

an incredible example of the above is that our very own milky way galaxy exists within a cosmic void that is named the "KBC void" or "local hole" - the milky way galaxy is a few hundred million light-years away from the void's center.

void adjacent terms:

dark energy - a proposed form of energy that drives the accelerating expansion of the universe in which the existence of voids is said to have an impact

dark matter - an invisible and hypothetical form of matter that does not interact with light or other electromagnetic radiation; said to exist within galactic filaments and in cosmic voids but at a much lower density

galactic filaments - largest known structures in the universe, consisting of walls of galactic superclusters

neutrinos - tiny, subatomic particles that move freely in and out of the void; strongly suspected to be components of dark matter

new research has shown that time moves about 35% faster within a void because of their weak gravitational force, suggesting that the universe is not expanding equally as it was previously theorized, and potentially debunking the existence of dark energy all together.

cosmic voids may not be completely empty as they are hypothesized to contain low frequency radiation, low density dark matter, and a minimal number of dim galaxies, but are empty enough to be unperceivable in many cases. the void acts as a cosmic liminal space between the gaps padding the threads that compose our universe.

The Wolf Moon

Wolf Moon. First full moon of 2026. Cancer. Water-heavy. And honestly? This one doesn’t give a single fuck if I understand it.

I keep noticing that this moon doesn’t want clarity... Could be my Cancer moon in the 12th house... More layered and hidden bullshit.🙄

It’s not here to explain itself or offer insight or wrap anything up neatly. It pulls down. Into the dark water. Into the places where names stop sticking, and identity gets slippery. The places where I can’t pretend anymore.

In my practice, this isn’t an “aha” moon. It’s an immersion moon. A Descent Moon.

Cancer here doesn’t feel soft or nurturing to me. It feels like the deep ocean that remembers everything. Dark womb. Grave. Riptide. Hunger, memory, blood, and desire all talking at once and none of them waiting their turn. It’s uncomfortable, but familiar in that bone-deep way.

Water keeps showing up as a veil for me. A way in. Not cleansing. Not soothing. Just… entry.

The Wolf Moon doesn’t howl from the mountaintop. It howls from underneath the surface. From inside the body. It stirs shit that’s been sleeping... not so I can heal it, fix it, or process it to death... like I love to do. But it stirs so I can claim it.

This is descent work for me. Void-facing. The kind that doesn’t ask me to let go or move on. It asks me to follow what pulls me under and stay there long enough to become it.

And no, this moon isn’t gentle. It doesn’t fucking hold hands. It marks.

Instinct feels sharp right now. Not intuitive whisper bullshit... more like a seal. A knowing that drops in when I stop flinching in the dark and let it look back at me. A wolf doesn’t ask permission to claim territory or become. It feels the pull and answers. That’s it.

Also… nothing here is asking to be healed. If I’m being honest, I don’t really believe in “healed” anyway. There's only acceptance. It’s Ouroboros shit... every time you think you’ve fixed something, surprise bitch, there’s another layer. Another cycle. Another turn of the spiral.

This isn’t about fixing myself. It’s about owning the whole damn thing. Becoming the darkness!

Shadow isn’t asking to be integrated. It’s asking to be inhabited.

Wolf Moon Water Rite: Claiming the Black Current

Personal plan / working notes

This one is simple on purpose. No overbuilt ritual, no performance. This is about showing up, letting the water do what it does, and working pure embodiment... embodiment ritual, embodiment magic, through my own self.

What I’m using (with options):

– Water: bath preferred, but shower works. If that’s not an option, a bowl of water is enough.

– One candle, any dark color if possible, but I’m not fussing over details.

– Darkness: lights off, candle only.

– Optional: salt, black bath bomb, or nothing at all. This is about presence, not props.

The working:

I’ll set the space dark. No circle casting, no calling quarters or crossroads. This is about stepping into the water and into my own body.

Light the candle. That’s the only ritual opening I need.

Enter the water slowly.

– Bath: sink in, let it surround me.

– Shower: let it hit chest and spine.

– Bowl: submerge hands or face, just enough to feel covered.

Once I’m in, I say:

I enter the dark willingly. I do not ask to be healed. I claim what rises. I claim what follows. I claim what has always been mine.

Then I shut up and stay.

No music. No guidance. No fixing anything. This is embodiment work. If sensations, images, or emotions surface, I don’t label them. I don’t soothe them. I let them exist in my body.

When it feels done, I touch my chest or belly and say:

I am claimed by myself and my darkness.

That’s it. No grounding. No gratitude list. No integration. This is about inhabiting the dark and working through my own body. Period.

Sealing the Descent

In my practice, shadow isn’t confronted or conquered. It’s entered. Occupied. Ruled from the inside.

Power shows up when I stop fragmenting under pressure and just stand still in it.

That’s what this Wolf Moon feels like. A threshold. The moment I stop circling the dark and step fully in. Instinct turns into possession. Hunger turns into authority. Silence turns into command.

This moon doesn’t guide. It binds.

It seals what I claim and makes damn sure I don’t abandon it when the light comes back.

I don’t come out purified. I don’t come out softened. And I sure as hell don’t come out healed. I come out claimed. And yeah... that’s the fucking point.

Where we came from [creation] has only been for a fraction of a nanosecond compared to that which lays before us. The Void has always Not Been.

This is about more than just words, reader. This is a moment in your history now.

When all ceases to be, when all is reclaimed back to the Void, I will savor this moment with you.

When I showed one more person what Truth is.

The void isn’t here to destroy you.

It’s the sacred unmaking—

the fertile dark where you remember who you really are.

This is not the end.

It’s the inhale before your next becoming.
