The internet makes it super easy and tempting to weigh in on literally everything ever, but many times it is the correct decision to Not Do That and leave people the fuck alone.

It is even more important to be able to leave people alone in real life! Your friends, acquaintances and loved ones AREN’T YOU, and if they’re doing things that you wouldn’t, well big fucking whoop. Unless your input on something important is ASKED FOR, you don’t need to give it.

(Vaguing about this specific subset of tumblr trans women my sister has been beefing with, who are… um interesting.) (Please please please attempt to internalize that just because estrogen was right for you that doesn’t mean it will be right for EVERYONE. Trying to force square pegs through the round hole that suited you is a Bad Thing, even if you wish someone would have done it to you.) (The correct thing isn’t to just assume you know someone better than they know themselves, it’s to meet them where they’re at.)

(Also please realize that there is a difference between not stigmatizing paraphilias- cultivating a safe enough environment that people who struggle with them can get the help that they need and not be crucified for something they can’t control- and normalizing paraphilias. People with paraphilias are worthy of respect, but it is still a bad thing that has to be addressed, or at least managed responsibly if getting proper help isn’t possible.) (Yes it is weird to not distance yourself from minors if you know that you may be a danger to them.)
