Unwritten Truths About the Gym You Need to Know(the lighter side)😂 DISCLAIMER: This is for fun and should be taken that way. 1.) Do bring a towel or water bottle to a busy gym. A water bottle or towel is a means of marking your territory. HISSSSSSS.... 2.) Cellphones are ok, but usually only when standing. Sitting on a bench for a minutes at a time with your phone may be frowned upon. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! 3.) Grunting loudly, surprisingly, does not increase your 1 rep max on any lift. I AM SORRY, NOPE. 4.) Dropping dumbbells or any weight for that matter means it is too heavy for you. YOU ARE NOT RONNIE COLEMAN. CALM DOWN. 5.) A squat rack, oddly enough, is made for doing squats(not barbell curls) SHOCKING I KNOW. 6.) Gym sign language can be broken into to distinct phases: headphones on and headphones off. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN THIS. 7.) In a REALLY busy gym: share equipment as much as possible. Seriously, i love the gym, but we don't want to he here all day. WE CAN DO THIS. 8.)
