Maybe a cup of self-control would be the route
But it's the flavor, it's the flavor you want
Can I pretty please get some firelocke, I'm actually insane about how you draw them
poor thing has no idea how to react to genuine affection
V!Shelby sure likes her found family narrative, doesn't she?
Imagine a save-the-mindscape plot with V!shelby. There are doors with memories behind them like in owl house or gravity falls or the digital circus, memories that are attached to certain people or times and can be altered. And there is this destructive thing in her mind tearing walls down and changing things. Like, a disease, or a mind eating bug, or a spell from a vengeful spirit...
The protagonist fixes the problem, but while fixing it they start seeing all the lies she surrounds herself with. All the moments she suffers and buries, all the times she turned a blind eye to someone else. The bug has eaten away at her mental walls and she is asking the protagonist to Fix It! and they are like, "Why didn't you say something?" and, eventually, "...how about we get out of New York instead?"
I wouldn't write this, but i think it would seriously rule. Maybe with Drift, maybe with some hapless and silly twenty-first-century OC just trying to just do a good turn for a new friend. Or, like, a Peridot-type technician that has a profession in fixing these cases and this is the Most Fucked Up They've Ever Seen It.
(the vengeful spirit angle would of course be pyro. and it's not vengeance.)
(she said something on his grave and he's trying to help)
I left my iPad at home but fortunately that will not stop me!

you know what, im bored. so you can have some excerpts of firelocke LMAO.
It was like being a spectator to Abolish's own little personal hell, one he never showed anyone, and which, perhaps even now, Pyro hadn't seen the very bottom of.
He never liked to assume he knew what other people were going through; they had done that to him his whole life, and it always irritated him just the same.
What he did know was what he wanted, and at that moment, he wasn't planning to leave a poor drunk who, although he could still walk, risked being hurt by others... others who would be less kind.
Not that Pyro actually knew how to be kind. He could act like he did, but that was a lie not everyone truly believed.
cw // catholism
as an ex-catholic, v!Pyro feels SOOOOO middle child catholic to me :3 like about to be ex-catholic or a brand new ex-catholic at the start and then Scott absolutely DERAILS his self-discovery
