Drift is always too nervous to say when she is regressed. She just quietly hangs around people and her voice is a little strange and she keeps stumbling despite her usually good balance.

Regression, to Drift, is for watching and keeping quiet while silently wishing someone would hold her hand, give her a quick couple pets, and swaddle her up in a warm blanket to nap in.

Shelby knows though. Shelby always knows. She stays quiet though, always waiting until Drift whispers it in her ear before going all baby sitter mode and babying her… but that never happens, Drift never speaks up, so Shelby comprises by subtly keeping an eye of Drift and grabbing her hand so “you don’t get lost”.

Oh yeah that absolutely tracks

I’ve been world building for a Crossfangs au for literal months. I have a plot planned out. I have written scenes for future chapters. I have talked with friends to help me fully flesh out dynamics and magic.

Also when Shelby first told Scott about it he was both impressed by her bravery and astounded by her idiocy.

And I think Sausage would try to get the others to come to the signing ALSO full vampire since he writes a lot about them in Oakhurst and probably has characters very obviously based on them in his books

Scott might think it's ridiculous at first but I think it wouldn't take much convincing to get him in front of a crowd complimenting his outfit

Shelby is there 100% she's the first to agree

Drift agreed after Scott and Shelby did because she thought it'd be fun

Cleo isn't a huge fan of the attention but likes the opportunity to wear their mother's cloak again

Pearl is just excited for an excuse to have her ears and tail out in public

Scott Goldsmith had like a sister or something. He had completely forgotten this, he doesn’t know. This sister married a man on the Kuna line (Apo Kuna headcannon)

Centuries later the Kunas are strong and wild and have no idea of their Goldsmith roots. But they are direct descendants. Like straight up, strongest link to the Goldsmiths that any living people have. (Vampires count as dead)

Scott: Scott's my favorite to hc as aro because HE LITERALLY SAYS HE DOESN'T FEEL THINGS IN CANON (okay only kinda but still). So I have a list:

Loveless Aromantic: honestly this one speak for itself. There's also the option of saying it's due to trauma (angsttttttt) and goes really well with panspec, which I also hc him as most of the time.

Caedromantic/Erasromantic: most of my other hcs have it where Scott married/was in love with someone when he was alive, but HE GIVES ARO VIBES (in canon), so it would make sense to me if his turning/fledglinghood was traumatic enough to destroy his ability to feel romantic love.

Aroflirt: this is just. An explanation. For his flirting. For all of my aro-spec hcs around him (not that it's actually necessary, but MICROLABELS)

Arretaromantic: look at the definition and you'll understand.

Satiaromantic: Scott Goldsmith seems like the type of person to have dated so many people that it has entirely lost meaning for him.

Summary: he doesn't feel romantic love because he's been through a lot or only feels it when he's getting Attention.

Shelby: I only have a couple of microlabels that I think might fit her.

Quoiromantic: my main ship for them is Cryptidclues, and since her and Drift are friends, I like the idea that Shelby had a crush on Drift in Oakhurst but didn't realize becauseshe thoguht it was just platonic love. Eventually, they realize that it was a mix of both intense platonic love and romantic attraction.

Devotioromantic: again, my ideas for what happens post canon really impacts this. I like the idea that every ten years or so, Shelby gets a crush on Drift but looses it before she can confess.

Cuplaromantic: vibes.

Drift: I actually have more for her, but I didn't have the time to include those so here are a few! (None of them are based in canon)

Diviromantic: yet again! The idea that Shelby and Drift would date if their orientations didn't get in the way over and over again. V!Drift seems like a very anxious person and it makes sense to me she'd continuously back out of her crush(es) for Shelby because she thinks she's making it up.

Propeestromantic: idk I think Drift wouldn't really be able to figure out her orientation.

Laimoromantic: kinda the reason for above.

Énasdemiromantic: no reason, I just wanted to.

Summar: CONFUSION and also has only ever loved Shelby romanticly.

I also have a couple for Abolish, specifically voidromantic and vitrumromantic, but I don't really have much reasoning behind it.

I wasn't going to include Sausage at first since I don't write him. Then I found Upiromantic, which is literally when someone is only attracted to vampires. One, this is incredibly specific and I don't know why it exists, and two, yes. Sausage is obsessed with vampires and I wasn't going to past that up.
