Kind reminder to y'all again to PLEASE respect Pyro & Maddy boundaries, at the end of the day those are their characters, and they have every right to no longer be comfortable with ships, i promise you the world isn't gonna end because you can't make two block characters kiss. Now my apologies if that comes off as rude but seeing some of y'alls blogs about this is rather..concerning to say the least. You shouldn't just ignore someone boundaries just because you don't like them, and while i will agree with some that Pyro wording could've been better in his stream, i don't agree with using that as an excuse for your own actions.
You don't have to give up the things you love people, you just can't romantically ship them anymore, but you can still enjoy your favorite duo's as friends! Majorscythe, Lumberjack, Firelocke, etc! And of course same with Maddy characters (idk much about her so yeah sorry) You can still draw/write them to your hearts content.
(Also small side thing, I've seen some comparing this to Avids situation, and y'all just no. That situation was completely different and you know that, and to compare Avid to Pyro after all that nonsense is wrong on so many levels so please don't.)
since cc!pyro has recently updated his boundaries on shipping (info on that under the read more), i’d like to remind everyone of the wonderful world of
~*QUEERPLATONIC RELATIONSHIPS*~
a qpr is a relationship between two people where they love each other with the intensity of a romantic relationship, but not the same type of love as a romantic relationship. the greeks had the words “eros” for passionate love and “phila” for affection and companionship, and that pretty well embodies the difference. i jokingly describe my relationship with my partner as: “friendship premium edition and we’d die for each other”
so, rather than violating cc!pyro’s bounderies to continue shipping him, i’d suggest instead writing qpr (especially in vsmp, where one of his main ships is with abolish, who is pretty aro-ace coded imo). by doing that, you are respecting the content creator and also providing representation to aro-ace people, since we are a group often left out of even queer spaces and ESPECIALLY in fandoms in favour of shipping.
