Someone MUST have said this already but what's crazy (and comforting) is that the deltarune prophecy has ALREADY been defied, and we know this for certain.
When Ralsei said that he hoped that if they were kind and spared everyone, there would be a different outcome, I don't even think he realized that he was right, even though the prophecy itself didn't change!
By sparing and recruiting the Pippins and Shadowguys in Chapter 3, they were LIKELY able to save Tenna from his fate in the prophecy, since he wasn't. yknow. completely cleaved I suppose. Regardless, he was never completely cleaved by blade.
Also, Queen's chariot IS STOPPED in chapter two's normal route
While The Fun Gang's (and the player's) pacifist choices have led to a similar outcome no matter what, they were able to change things that happen during the destination. There is absolutely hope after all that, in order to save both worlds, the final prophecy that Ralsei fears probably doesn't have to happen, or can be altered for the better.

The everyman first appeared in most disturbing and violent scene in all of undertale, where his head gets swarmed by butterflies, and then he seems to be controlled by the butterflies, the butterflies very obviously infliciting great pain on the everyman.
of course the everyman is a reoccuring symbol in deltarune, their undertale appareance is a perfect thematic parellel for kris, being controlled by the soul is kind of like being tortured and controlled by butterflies, more specifically: the everyman scene in undertale is a visceral symbolic depiction of Kris's expierence being controlled by the soul.

Susie is, and was always meant to be, The Girl from Deltarune's prophecy
I've seen a lot of people who believe that "The Girl" was meant to be somebody else- particularly, Noelle. To be blunt, this is false, and I'm tired of seeing this interpretation pop up everywhere. I can understand how one could come to this conclusion initially- hell, I used to believe this theory- but when you look at all the evidence, it just doesn't line up whatsoever. So let's get into why.
First off, let's tackle the big one.
THE SECOND HERO.
THE GIRL, WITH HOPE CROSSED ON HER HEART.
I'm gonna tackle this one argument at a time, so...
"The silohuette looks nothing like Susie!"
I mean... eh? I can see the point being made here, but... would you really say this looks more like Noelle?? The silohuette is vague in general, and hardly resembles either of them, to be honest - but if I had to pick one of them, the hair at the back reminds me more of Susie - it's much spikier, more reminiscent of Susie's hair than Noelle's.
Apparently some people think that the hair is angel wings? I can... kinda see it, but, like... let's take a look at another prophecy panel for a moment.
The hero on the left here looks very much like Susie. The silohuette evokes specifically her hairstyle- Noelle's hair just doesn't look like that whatsoever, there's clearly no wings in sight, and the silohuette also lacks antlers. And they can't be wearing a hood, like the White Mage does in MAN'T'LE - that's clearly hair.
Plus, Kris's silohuette is accurate to their appearance, and Ralsei's is accurate to how the prophecy typically depicts him, always with his cloak, so I don't see any reason for The Girl's silohuette to just... randomly be wrong here, if it's meant to be Noelle.
"The Girl is wielding a sword! Susie can't wield swords, but Noelle can!"
Alright then, let's see what swords Noelle can equip!
Jingle Blade - Light World: Holiday Pencil
Black Shard - Light World: Black Shard
So, we have... literally her pencil, which isn't exactly strong evidence, and... the Black Shard. Now, let's look at the description for the Black Shard real quick...
"dagger-like", huh? That doesn't sound much like a sword to me... plus, it's also... not that big. Or sword-shaped. It's... kinda just shaped like a piece of glass. Now, where did we get the Black Shard again?
The Roaring Knight, who- regardless of which of the two candidates you're rooting for- is 100% a Holiday. With this in mind, along with the Black Shard's description, I think you can understand why I don't think The Girl wielding a sword is very strong evidence towards The Girl being Noelle.
But the silohuette still wields a sword, not an axe, which is quite interesting... but I think people are looking at it from the wrong angle here. Let's think about this a different way; Here, take some dialogue from Gerson's fight.
This comment about the "white pen, known as hope" intrigues me, because... well, as Susie says herself, Kris has the pen, and... hm. What do Kris's weapons become in the Light World, again? Let's go through one by one.
Pencil -> Wood Blade
Halloween Pencil -> Spooky Sword
Lucky Pencil -> Trefoil (UNUSED)
Eraser -> Bounce Blade
Mechanical Pencil -> Mecha Saber
Cactus Needle -> Saber 10
Quill Pen -> Winglade
Holiday Pencil -> Jingle Blade
Black Shard -> Black Shard
Even if you don't count the Trefoil, there's clearly a pattern here - most of Kris's weapons, which are all swords, are writing equipment - with the majority just being pens and pencils outright! Now, this is purely speculative...
But it would be really fucking cool and thematically appropriate if Susie got her hands on some sort of pen at some point, and then in the Dark World, it turns into a sword only she can equip, right??? Like- that'd be really fucking cool!! And also extremely appropriate & relevant to the game's themes!!!
But, admittedly, that is just speculation. You don't need to take my word for it - but I do think that using the fact that The Girl wields a sword as evidence that it's meant to be depicting Noelle is... a very shaky argument.
"The Girl is mentioned as both the second, and then as the last! That means there's two The Girls!"
Putting aside how needlessly obtuse the idea of there being two "The Girls" is- two people referred to by the exact same identifier... I don't have a not-incredibly-blunt way to put this-
It's a POEM.
Like- let's take a look at these prophecies, in the order they appear in-game.
THE THIRD HERO, THE PRINCE, ALONE IN DEEPEST DARK.
THE FIRST HERO, THE CAGE, WITH HUMAN SOUL AND PARTS!
AND LAST, WAS THE GIRL. AT LAST, WAS THE GIRL.
THE SECOND HERO, THE GIRL, WITH HOPE CROSSED ON HER HEART.
It's a poem! And, considering the third panel, it looks like this poem follows the order they joined the party.
Ralsei first, since he uh. IDFK, had the prophecy beamed into his brain at birth or smth???
Then Kris, as we/them immediately join up with Ralsei when we first meet him.
And then Susie, who sort of joins our party twice - and the first time hardly even counts, considering that she refuses to listen to us and then joins the bad guys - she's by far the last to join the party, only truly working with us after her fight with Lancer in the prison.
They're "out of order" in the sense that it doesn't go 1-2-3, yes, but it's deliberate - maybe that's in part because of Susie's Dark World being topsy-turvy, but I don't think that means there's suddenly two "The Girls".
...and with that said, I feel the need to mention that the image for-
AND LAST, WAS THE GIRL. AT LAST, WAS THE GIRL.
-is literally just Rude Buster. Like- that's just Rude Buster. Sure, you could argue that it's also the act symbol, but the act symbol is never really referenced outside of the UI & characters talking about the UI, as far as I remember. Rude Buster, on the other hand...
...is literally used for the pattern on Susie's carpet. And you can't argue that this one is the act symbol, because... it's Susie's room. It's clearly meant to be Rude Buster...
Now- what does Noelle have to do with that symbol, if The Girl is meant to be her? Regardless of whether it's meant to be Rude Buster or the act icon, how does that relate to Noelle?? She has nothing to do with either of those things- hell, Susie even has a stronger relation to ACTing than Noelle does, what with her being the one to prompt S-Action & R-Action to exist. Now, to move onto my next point.
LOVE FINDS ITS WAY TO THE GIRL.
This prophecy! So- people think this might be referring to the Weird Route, and how "LOVE" - that is, Level Of ViolencE - will "find its way" to Noelle... but, like.
The weird route is explictly anti-prophecy.
Ralsei freaks out a bit when the ferris wheel scene doesn't happen, he literally tells you he thinks taking Noelle to the festival is "a bad decision" specifically on the weird route, and...
I think this dialogue speaks for itself. Though, some context: This dialogue is spoken by Ralsei if you tell him it's okay to not smile... specifically on the weird route. It's, like- the most blatant foreshadowing ever.
...also I don't know why everyone tries to make this panel about LOVE when that's not been a plot-point so far in Deltarune and the regular meaning of this panel would apply to Noelle on all routes anyway.
(Even weird route... in a much more unfortunate manner.)
THE GIRL, WITH HOPE CROSSED ON HER HEART.
Now, I want to talk about this for a moment- the way the prophecy describes The Girl here: with hope crossed on her heart. Hope. Real quick, I'm gonna go through a bunch of mentions of "hope" in the game to prove a point - not every mention, but any that might be relevant.
I'll circle back to this one later, because I just realised something about this- just keep it in mind.
wow, it took way longer than i expected to find a thematically relevant example of "hope"...
So! This scene- it's a really big moment. We get a huge loredrop on Susie's backstory, and rather pointedly- she talks about hope, and it's the first time we get a really relevant mention of "hope" as a theme- and it's Susie who drops it. She talks about how Toriel gave her hope- and how that hope has been growing as she makes friends- and she says all this to Tenna, who's in a similar spot to the one she was in before...
...and it inspires hope in him, too. Her speech- her empathy & sympathy, and her offer to find him a new home- it gives him hope. Hope that he won't be thrown away- that he can find a new home, that he can be used and be happy again... and it's all thanks to Susie.
I've not really got much to say for this one, TBH- I think it just speaks for itself. IDK, words hard sometimes.
I brought this one up earlier, but I think it's relevant here, too- Gerson specifically believes Susie has the "white pen of hope"- the power to change fate, to change the ending and write her own- and he calls it hope. I think that's important.
I'm bringing up this Seam dialogue because, for most people, Susie- and her Rude Buster- is the only reason you could even touch the Roaring Knight. It's thanks to her that you could get that crystal - without her, you'd be shit outta luck.
(That is, unless you're extraordinarily cracked at the game, but I'm not considering that edge case...)
So, you could say, indirectly, Susie's inspired hope in Seam, too.
I saved this one for last on purpose, because I think it's the most poignant.
Ralsei directly talks about how Susie's hope is "infectious"- her bright, shining hope, it's spreading, it's giving Ralsei hope, too. Hope that the ending can be changed- that the final tragedy can be averted, despite everything- despite the fact that the prophecy has yet to change. I've got something to say regarding that, actually- but I wanna finish this train of thought first.
So, Susie has a very clear connection to hope- even in Chapter 3, before the prophecy is in the picture, she establishes herself as a person full of hope- a person that inspires hope in others. Now, what connection does Noelle have with hope? What are her thematic ties to the idea and feeling of hope?
...
She, uh. She doesn't really... have any. Like- she mentions hope... once??
Like- Alphys and Hathy have more text connecting them to hope (or, the word hope) than this. Noelle really just- doesn't have any narrative association with hope like Susie does, which I think is a big point against Noelle being The Girl, considering that "with hope crossed on her heart" is the way the prophecy defines The Girl.
Now- to circle back to that text from the legend real quick, I had a thought about that! So- it says it's a legend of hope and dreams. Light and dark. Hope and light on the left, dark and dreams on the right. This is a complete tangent and probably doesn't mean much, but- dark worlds are already associated with dreams, and what with Susie's connection with hope, and how she's a lightner... I dunno. I just think it's neat that it lines up like that, Gyaa Ha ha!
THE PROPHECY HAS NOT CHANGED YET
Alright so I really need to address this point- the prophecy has not changed. Ralsei makes a point of this multiple times during Chapter 4, and even the shadow crystals support this idea.
Now, assuming Noelle was meant to be The Girl, and that Susie took her spot... I don't think Ralsei's mindset here makes much sense. After all, that would mean that the prophecy was already changed- and in quite a significant way, too. Like- one of the three heroes just being replaced?! That's huge! Ralsei would totally freak out about that the moment he saw us in Castle Town for the first time if it was true!
Some people try to argue that Ralsei just- wouldn't know that Susie isn't meant to be The Girl, but I don't think that's right. Ralsei knows the prophecy in full- every last detail- and he knows Susie by name when he first sees her.
I think that's quite relevant- he recognises her appearance, calls her by name before she introduces herself, and is confident that she's one of the three heroes. Not once is he like "uh- okay then i guess i'll go with this-" or anything like that- and he has not once expressed that this is wrong.
Also- frankly, the idea that the prophecy has already changed is a weak idea that wouldn't serve the story well. On first glance, yeah- cool, Susie broke it by being Susie from the get-go, cool, go Susie! But when you look at it more deeply, it's... kinda just a weak plot point?
This overbearing force,
This prophecy which forces the hand of fate,
This antagonistic force that's being built up to be broken at the end of the game...
yeah susie already broke/bent it in hour 1 lmao, its actually entirely worthless
Like. It just... doesn't really serve the story very well. At all. If Susie wasn't meant to be The Girl. Susie hypes up the prophecy because she's in it- it seems cool! She's finally- part of something, and it's something massive- she's a HERO! And then, as she learns more, she loses faith in the prophecy, even despite that- she calls it stupid. She forsakes it, and swears to defy it.
I think that arc would kinda be ruined a bit if it turned out that she wasn't meant to be part of the prophecy in the first place.
Additionally- I'd like to provide a quote from @ liz_x51 on Discord about this, she put it really well:
The idea of "we need to change the prophecy but it has never been done. We don't even know if it's possible" is kind of undermined if it either has a lot of ways to interpret it already (that's already a form of 'change') or if it's already changed from the beginning of the game by Susie being a hero
NOELLE & SUSIE ARE DIFFERENT PEOPLE
While trying to think of any more Girlelle points to debunk, I realised another reason why The Girl can't have been intended to be anyone other than Susie- and especially why it can't have been Noelle:
Are you really trying to tell me that swapping Noelle out for Susie wouldn't immediately change fate?
Those two are nothing alike- there is no way in hell they'd make the same choices, that they'd follow the prophecy all the same- especially with how specific the prophecy is!
Like- yes, these are all jokes- but they're also examples of how specific the prophecy is, and I don't believe these are meant to be random, throw-away exceptions- I think they are specifically meant to show us how specific the prophecy is- how it captures every event.
And, with that in mind... are you really telling me Chapter 1 would play out exactly the same if you swapped Susie for Noelle? Really?? The chapter would diverge in the first 10 minutes of the dark world! Like- I think this is something nobody really thinks about when talking about this theory- there is no way the plot would happen the exact same with Noelle in place of Susie. That just wouldn't happen.
"Ralsei says Susie is supposed to equip ribbons, so he isn't really very reliable."
...and Susie can equip ribbons. She just doesn't, because she doesn't want to. I think "supposed to" is just a case of weird phrasing from Ralsei.
While I'm on this topic- there's some dialogue I think is relevant.
Susie asks about Noelle, and Ralsei's first thought- which takes him a moment, mind you, considering the "Umm..." - is what items she can equip. I think that's quite a striking indicator that she's not very relevant to the prophecy - at least, not in a way Ralsei could identify her with. (There's still hope for y'all, Angel Noelle truthers.)
If Noelle was meant to be The Girl, this would be the perfect moment for Ralsei to mention that, no? This is right after he said he'd be more honest with the party- that he'd stop hiding so many things from them- and he is being explicitly asked about Noelle. This would be THE perfect moment for that loredrop!
But it doesn't happen, and I think that says enough.
This is where I'd put my closing thoughts... if I, uh. Had any. But, uh, I got nothin'. There's one The Girl, and her name is Susie [Lastname], not Noelle Holiday or any other name. If I forgot to debunk any points about Girlelle, I'll edit the post with those, I guess. But. Yeah. That's it. That's the post. go home

So, someone in a comment section on TikTok asked me to breakdown why I thought the six colored flowers in Deltarune represent the six colored humans in Undertale. But, wellā¦it may have gotten long enough that I would have had to send it in like twelve different comments, and I didnāt want to spam anybody. So I made it a Tumblr post! Note, I did not reread these so there might be some typos.
First is Aqua, who is deeply impatient but constantly striving to find something to hold her attention. She is mischievous and disobedient, but never purposefully so, always genuinely trying to help and listen to those around her. The Aqua child in Undertale is noted to carry around dyed red ribbons and a plastic knife, which can be found scattered in the Ruins. Putting these together, we get a picture of a very young child (which explains the toddler shoes and toys in Torielās home), one that was constantly searching for something stimulating enough to hold her attention. That and her mischievous nature are both common results of neglect in young children, so itās likely her parents were as attentive as she is. Especially given that her ribbon talks about ālooking cuter so you arenāt hit as hardā Aqua having bad parents is very likely, and probably why she assumes violence to be the correct answer to most situations. Perhaps she went up the mountain out of curiosity when her parents werenāt caring enough to watch her. Whatās clear though is that she was taken in by Toriel, got bored and went exploring, and either lost her stuff or died nearby (hence why her stuff is only a few rooms away from Torielās home). If she survived her own curiosity, I doubt she made it past Snowdin Forest before being captured. And as she is the first to confront Asgore in the Flower Castle climb, she may have been the first to be captured/killed and brought to him in Undertale.
The next to confront Asgore in Flower Castle is Yellow, followed by Blue, so Iāll cover them next. Yellow, Blue, Green, and Seth could all be read as adults by some, but I would argue that there is a lot showing that theyāre all just kids striving to be older than they really are. That said, Yellow and Blue are likely the oldest amongst them, and I would guess they fell as young teenagers, supported by the mention of shoes for older kids and teenagers. Yellow in Deltarune is shown to have a childish understanding of what a cowboy is and a need for justice, coupled with being exceedingly naive and extremely self-flagellating. Given his constant jumping to suicide as a response to any perceived wrongdoing on his part, itās likely that he went to Mt Ebbott on purpose, attempting to die. We know that he made it as far as Waterfallās trash zone, though itās unclear if thatās where he was captured or if he simply lost/threw away his items. My guess is that he threw them away after losing Blue, deciding he wasnāt worthy to be a cowboy, and thenā¦wellā¦given his behavior and the fact that Trash Zone is heavily associated with suicide in Undertaleā¦I donāt think he needed to be killed by the Royal Guard.
As for Blue, we get the least screentime from him so itās a bit harder to tell, but he seems to be a bit of a liar with a well meaning heart. He also has this false maturity to him that I wouldnāt doubt came from adultification. Given that heās a queer, gender-nonconforming man whoās whole thing is living your inner truth (even if he struggles with that himself), perhaps a queerphobic/misogynistic family was what pushed him to Mt Ebott. Either way, he fell into the Underground (perhaps with Yellow, perhaps instead just meeting him while living with Toriel), and made it to Waterfall. His tutu can be found earlier on, be described as āprotectiveā and ādustyā, which might imply he had to kill a monster to protect Yellow. Perhaps this sparked the Royal Guard to chase him more fervently, explained why the unused echo flower that was meant to spawn in the same room as his shoes says āI canāt run anymoreā¦somebody, anybodyā¦ā. Perhaps he died or was captured here, leaving Yellow to survived for a few more rooms before succumbing to himself.
Next on the Asgore order is Green, by far our hardest nut to crack because they donāt speak. Green seems to strive to be kind but instead ends up as just nice, struggling to actually comfort anybody and consistently betraying their friends by helping the Fun Gang. The need to please outweighs the need to do right by people, sounds like a fellow people pleaser to me. Their items seem to indicate they made it the farthest of anyone but Chara and Frisk, dying/getting captured in Hotland, which makes sense given how effective pacifism is in the Underground. Their items only have mechanics in their description, but one of them is called the āBurnt Panā which is generally something pans are designed not to do, so their defeat being at the hands of a fire enemy seems likely. Other than that, not much to glean.
Orange is next, and is very clearly a āare you a man or a mouseā joke. I already went into her deal, but to reiterate, sheās got a whole thing about pretending to be bigger than she is because sheās scared of being weak. Her items are pink gloves (hence her friendship with Pink) and the āManly Bandanaā which has abs drawn on it, all an attempt to seem manly and scary when sheās not. Her items can be found in Snowdin, meaning her weakness likely got the better of her. One thing to note, though, is that sheās the only flower to refer to the others as siblings (specifically Pink, Flowery, and Green). Given that Pink is a monster that we meet in Undertale and Flowery has his own stuff going on, itās entirely possible she went up the mountain searching for her sibling, Green. Thatās getting into fanfiction territory, but I thought it was a neat idea.
Seth probably gets the most characterization in both games. Seth is, as Deltarune puts it, someone who āonly has the perseverance for studyā. They are desperate to be taken seriously by those around them and fail miserably at it, and arenāt able to get through much of anything without having a breakdown. They also have a habit of idolizing people. They are also the only one to get a name meaning Seth is likely their Undertale name too. They chose it themselves in Deltarune, and with the break scene about their gender identity I think itās likely they chose it in Undertale. Their items donāt give us much other than that their handwriting is illegible, but the location of their items seems to indicate Gerson is the only who caught/killed them.
The Asgore climb order clearly means something (going Aqua, Yellow, Blue, Green, Orange, then Seth) but doesnāt tell us much, so Iām guessing itās the death order. But given its implied Blue got killed first and that Seth got killed by Gerson (who hasnāt been a Royal Guard in a long time) it might be the reverse order. In fact, thereās one more piece of evidence for that. At the end of the climb you see a conversation between Asgore and Flowery.
Which is why I think Flowery might represent Chara a bit. This is going into wild speculation territory so bear with me here. Flowery and Chara are both characters with heavy, heavy ties to golden flowers, Asgoreās happy memories, and the number 999. Both are characters with notable habits of coping with distress and their loved oneās distress by smiling. Both have heavy emphasis on the color of their eyes, both are willing to die for the cause, both believe the surface world is full of cruel people who they need to protect their family from, both are willing to risk potential disaster in order to give their families the world they deserve, both have the ability to affect the narration of the game, and both have some amount of fourth wall breaking power. If Flowery IS meant to represent Chara is some way, that could tell us a lot about their behavior when they were alive. As for who represents Friskā¦
The obvious and most definitely correct answer is Kris. Identical faces, near anagram names, matching color schemes (in the Dark World anyhow), being the protagonist, itās incredibly clear. But what if, and this is definitely a crackpot theory, itās Ralsei? My main evidence is the strange parallels between Flowery and Ralsei and how their weirdly echo that of Chara and Frisk. Thereās also the mistaken identity beat with both Frisk and Ralsei, funnily enough both connected to Asriel (albeit in different ways). But the main evidence is entirely on the hypotheticals of certain theories on Ralseiās light world form being confirmed, hence why I said this part of the analysis is complete crackpot bullshit, so please take it with a grain of salt. The two prevailing theories for what he is are the Red Headband/Krisā Ideal Form, which would tie him to Kris and therefore to Frisk, or a red flower. Thereās a lot to get into regarding the Ralsei Is A Plant Theory and others could explain it better, but trust me, thereās a lot of could textual and narrative evidence. But if heās a flower and the flowers represent humans, him being the notably absent red flower would mean that he ties into the one human unaccounted for. I donāt know, just a thought.
Anyways, please only take the six colored flowers seriously, Flowery and especially Ralsei are way more speculative and were just for fun. Thanks for reading!!
Skimming through Deltarune's ch 3 soundtrack on Spotify made me realize something...
ā¦there's 2 "ROOTS" songs. Not just that, but they sound the same but in different sound fonts. They both even play in thematically similar places. Digital Roots plays in Queen's basement when you have to do the teacup ride challenge to retrieve the empty disk/plugging in the loaded disk in order to get the Spamton NEO. BIT ROOTS plays in the third part of sword route when u enter a dungeon and have to kill every monster in order to get the ERAM fight. Both play during the challenge required to get to a secret boss fight, both involve actively going behind the respective dark world's rulers backs, both involve plugging in something connected to image_FRIEND (the loaded disk having Spamton on it and the odd controller being a knockoff controller with FRIEND's colors), both involve retrieving an item mentioned by a shopkeeper ("MANSION... BASEMENT! FIND IT!!" for the empty disk and Seam's dialogue where they realize someone stole their shadow mantle).
The digital root is also a mathematical process of adding the digits in a number together to get a sum, then (if there are multiple digits in the sum) adding the digits in the sum together to get a new sum, and doing this until u get a single digit (ex: the digital root of 1225 is 1 because 1+2+2+5=10 and 1+0=1). It's used as a "checksum" in programming to tell u if there are any errors in what u input. If a checksum fails it means the data is incorrect, corrupted, or incomplete.
So, looking at Toby Fox's Bandcamp, the digital root of the place of Digital Roots in the ost would be 1, because 3+7=10 and 1+0=1. The digital root of the length of Digital Roots is 6, which is the same number associated with Gaster in Undertale's code.
The digital root of BIT ROOTS is-
not there?
It's not in the Bandcamp ost. In fact, none of the sword route music is on the officiial Bandcamp, but you do get them if you buy the entire album.
Here's that same section of the ost on Spotify for reference:
Turns out this isn't the first time Toby has hidden music that plays during any in-game moment/mention of the snowgrave route
In fact, the music that plays when the snowgrave route is continued in ch 4 is also hidden. So it seems that the songs that mention the weird route are hidden but can still be found by chance whereas songs that play ONLY on the weird route are completely hidden and can only be found by intentionally trying to find it, like how the sword route can be accessed if someone happened to be good enough at the boards to get s rank (or bought s rank) but the weird route has to be intentionally sought out.
To find the digital roots for BIT ROOT I needed to use Spotify (as a bonus I included all the other sword route songs too in the following screenshot edit)
It has the nearly the same place on its chapter's ost as Digital Roots (36 vs 37), with the digital root being 9 instead of 1, but the lengths are different, something that feels intentional considering they're basically the same song. The digital root for the length of BIT ROOTS is also 9... Chara's favorite number is 9, something they associate with absolute power. I don't know if the correlation between ROOTS and Chara has any foundation but the 2 ROOTS songs being different lengths seems significant. Especially since in BIT ROOTS, after the 0:33 mark the song stops looping perfectly and starts sounding glitched out with notes being dropped off or incorrect notes playing. The second loop of the (corrupted) melody finishes around 0:54 (digital root of 9), which means it's not a perfect loop because if it was the song would be 1:06 (2 segments of 33 seconds) minutes instead of 0:54, and the rest of the song is just static noise... garbage noise? Not "garbage noise" as in the sound file mus_smile but like conceptually garbage, noise that means nothing.
In the Spamton Sweepstakes, Tumblr user @humunanunga calculated the digital roots for the unique gateway windows on the pages /windows/ and /window/ (their post here), the 2 pages that look like the window hallway that leads to the ch 4 egg. These are 2 separate pages btw that look basically the same so for simplicity's sake I'm going to be referring to them as "plural" (windows) and "single" (window). Both plural and single have 51 windows (digital root 6), single's unique room is window 18 (digital root 9), and plural's unique room is window is 36 (digital root 9).
So we have the digital roots for ch 2: 1 and 6, Spamton Sweepstakes windows: 6(x2) 9 and 9, and ch 3: 9 and 9. Considering the window/s pages from the Spamton Sweepstakes are related to the egg in ch 4 which is found behind window 100, that would give us another digital root of 1. So all digital roots we have are:
-ch 2: 1, 6
-SS: 6, 9, 6, 9
-ch 3: 9, 9
-ch 4: 1
Fun values:
In Undertale the fun value is 1 number assigned out of 100 (digital root 1) given at random upon starting/resetting the game. Whatever fun value you get will give you a random event or no event at all (here's a chart for what fun value gives you what events). All of the Gaster related fun events have a 1 out 100 (unlike all of the other random events) chance of happening; the Gaster followers + sound test room + "mystery man" have fun values in the 60s range with "mystery man" being assigned to fun value 66. This gives us a strong association between Gaster and the number 6. The clam girl event happens in the 80s range but the clam girl goner event (that unlocks the "don't forget" picture of 3 people in Sans workshop event), while not a Gaster event, only happens at a fun value of 81 (digital root 9). The room where "mystery man" is located in room 269 (both 6 and 9 are present) and getting the door that actually leads to room 269/mystery man only has a 10% chance of activating (digital root 1). Maybe this implies that double 6 and double 9 have some sort of significance, but I feel like this is a stretch. Leaving the hallway with the door to room 269 causes the fun value to become 0. The only times when the fun value goes from whatever you got to 0 is after any Gaster-related event.
So, from what I can glean:
-the number 6 represents a connection to Gaster
-the number 9 (as the highest value you can get from a digital root) represents power or the world of Deltarune
-I have no clue what the number 1 could represent, if it represents anything
-there is no way to get a digital root of 0, this could mean 0 represents intentional manipulation from an outside source
(Fun fact: The lengths of both ERAM and BURNING EYES have a digital root of 6)
āwhy would chara do force kris/noelle to do thatā
āchara is evil and committed genocide in undertaleā
āomg chara is possessing kris during the weird routeā
to the people who say that unironically, i want to made this perfectly clear.
you are chara.
chara is a general representation of your morals and mental state.
they can also be a stand-in for your conscience, because you are the one in control.
they use the name you gave them as a stand-in for your name.
by placing the blame on this fictional character that represents you and your actions, you are attempting to avoid responsibility for what you have done within the game.
if you replace charaās name with your own, the statements youāve made about them will still be accurate.
you just donāt want to believe that.
chara doesnāt want to believe that either.
so you both dumb it down to numbers, a level thatāll go up or down, strength and power and disconnection from this world that you both consider a game.
and when you both reach the end, you confront the other, knowing your sick sentiments identical to each other.
chara does not take accountability.
you are chara,
because chara shifts the blame right back onto you.
