welcome to the flowey echo chamber

My paranoid sleep deprived freak. The self-insert is named Silver right now because I'm really bad at coming up with names in a timely manner and it's a self-insert anyway so it doesn't matter. The ship name is cuddlefish I did not come up with that my friend did hi pyukle.

They lived in New York for a little bit before the collapse and basically became a paranoid shut-in after it happened. They were scared to leave their apartment and get caught in Femt sponsored chaos of the city and they were also scared to fall asleep because they feared they would never wake up. "Why didn't they just move out?" ummmm how else would they be able to (eventually) cuddle a hot touch-starved fishman.

Their apartment is on the same floor as Garth and he's the reason why their hand is all big and stuff. At some point not super long after the collapse the lady who "owns" Garth asked Silver to pet sit for her. They agreed because they thought it was a good first step for regaining their confidence and stuff since it was just down the hall. It was actually going pretty well, until a stray saw blade flew through the window and sliced their arm off. The kind and caring Garth was just going to leave them to bleed out and die, but then they started bleeding out on his favorite blanket. He patched their arm with his flesh so they wouldn't selfishly bleed all over his things, which then led to Silver's arm mutating and stuff.

This incident initially caused an even deeper spiral of "I'm not leaving my apartment ever", but it was eventually the thing that pushed them into going out again. Despite all the back pain their heavy new arm caused, they found comfort in it as it has the same healing properties as Garth's meaty self. Garth is so kind and so thoughtful none of this would be possible without him 💖💖💖. They usually keep it gloved because it does somewhat have a mind of its own and will try to latch onto things, especially other people.

During one of their trips outside they befriended Leo and were eventually hired to Libra purely because Steven wanted to cut down on medical expenses. Silver meets Zed at Libra and stuff blah blah blahhhhh. Cue the world's like slowest and lamest slow burn ever because both of them awkward as hell and have no idea what they're doing. Zapp picked up on what was going on pretty early, but the thought of Zed being with someone/being happy just in general makes him want to puke, so he’s been actively hoping for their downfall.

Joining Libra did help with their anxiety/insomnia a little bit, but using their hand to heal people takes a lot of energy usually. Doomed to be sleepy forever.
