t is said that “hurt people hurt people.” For those people who are meanspirited and who hurt people, they are not pleasant to be around.

Someone who is meanspirited is ungenerous, mean, petty and unwilling to forgive. If this behaviour is allowed to continue, meanspirited people may also bring emotional harm to others. The Universe will always judge people doing things that are deliberately spiteful, unfavourably.

Being meanspirited is often linked to a troubled past. Where we rely on our experiences, our past and our environment, those things shape who we become. Meanspirited people don’t always outwardly care what others think.

While on occasions we may have been mean at times, those who are continually mean can become spiteful, although they may not believe they are being mean, they’re just being honest. Those who are meanspirited don’t always care what others think, which in itself is a problem.

It is important we find ways of interacting with like-minded people who are kind, respectful and considerate. In stressful times we don’t always stop to think how we are. Where we may not think we are meanspirited, those on the receiving end will know.

Underneath there is always a different version of ourselves. Underneath the exterior there was always a kind side to me. We’re not born meanspirited, our environment very much defines our personalities.

When we are able to stand back on ourselves, we may start to heal and change. Staying present is very much what is needed, the more present we are, the more we will be in control of how we present to the world.
