Did Qrow know Pyrrha because I remember people were raking him over the coals for not showing care to JNR after Pyrrha died…when I’m pretty sure he barely knew her and he was busy fighting for Beacon and Vale while Pyrrha died a bit of a senseless sacrifice.

¿Why Is Uncle Qrow, aka ‘Papa Crow’, the Best Guardian/Parent in RWBY?
1. Despite his understandable job as Ozpin's spy, he was always there for his nieces when they didn’t have someone to lean on.
He didn't only protect them, but also he tried to teach them to fend for themselves and be there when they were lost and needed support.
2. He doesn't care if you aren’t part of his family, he will risk himself and take care of all the children under his care.
3. He is serious and sage when it is necessary, but when it is time to have fun, he will be ready to cheer up his kids to have a good time.
4. He is not perfect and he knows it but instead of giving up and surrendering to his sorrow,
The love that he feels for his girls is enough to keep moving and try to improve himself even when in a totally uncertain situation.
