my spell for today is drawing a sigil on my palm which I will charge up by dancing at an electronica dance party
The mind is a restless oracle, conjuring you again and again. But tell me, what incantation frees the heart?
Unbinding. 🕯️🕯️

🕯Unbinding spell🕯
A really simple unbinding spell I used after someone told me that they had secretly tried to bind me to them. You can also use this to severe any unwanted emotional ties.
Ingredients
2 black candles
2 candleholder
Red string
Matches
Needle/knife
To start, you carve your name and the name of the person you wish to unbind onto each candle. Then use the red string to tie the candles together. Light the candles then say " these two Flames burn brightly together, but one consumes the other with this link between them. No more shall I suffer from the sadness brought by (person's name), no more shall I be burnt by (person's name). (Person's name), I sever my ties with thee."
Using the scissors, cut the string that binds the candles, envisioning the Bond severing between you and whoever you are stuck to. Let the candles burn safely down and once they are completely out dispose of them each in two different places.
So last weekend the ex and I met up to perform a little ad-hoc unbinding ceremony. We didn’t need one, per se. We were never legally wed, and I have zero doubt the gods have any issues with the break-up given how things turned out. But it was a way to give both of us a bit of closure and security, and to enable him to move on.
So we cut the handfasting cord in half, since it seemed the most sensible thing to do, and each took half to do with as we please.
I’ve... no idea what I want to do with mine. Should I keep it as a memento? If so, where? Should I burn it, cast it into the sea, or otherwise ritually discard of it to mark a moving-on? I’ve been pondering on it for a week, and was going to ask my local moot for advice at our monthly gathering, but that’s been cancelled this month.
