190#! I've taken my time with this one. Sept. Goal: 200#! In no rush. We hear it often from children, "When I get older..." They seem to be in such a rush to grow up. Whether loving Parent or wise adult, encouraging them to ENJOY WHERE THEY ARE & TAKE THEIR TIME is wise counsel that transcends their small attentions & immaturity. But the YOUNG ADULT appreciates (we hope) these words, as life begins mounting upon them the responsibilities that are now demanded of them, whether they like or are ready or not. Working out is SIMILAR! You have MADE UP YOUR MIND; BOUGHT your cute/functional workout clothes; chosen you gym/exercises/activities; or HIRED your trainer, so EAGER to do & obtain results, to soon realize the challenges, commitment, difficulties, labor, monotony, and, dare I say, ignorance you now come to realize this commitment entails. Reality presents itself. So ADJUST yourself. "Rome was not built in a day," is a saying which also applies to your body. The REBUILDING/RESHAPING/RESTORING of YOUR temple WILL take well-tempered T-I-M-E. LOADING WEIGHTS, training up, increasing the weights as you GAIN STRENGTH, also takes T-I-M-E. In the mean time, LEARN TO ENJOY WHERE you are in form, strength, knowledge, making sure to accept your challenges when they come. #resistancetraining #LEGS #traininggoals #precursorweights #loading #trainingup #fitat50 #myfitnessjourney #fitinmy50s #shelifts #blackwomendoworkout #weights #exercisingwhereiam
