got hit with fallout brain again
I’m replaying all the Fallout games, but backwards, so I’m finally on F3 after having a blast with New Vegas, and it brought back a lot of thoughts I have on the game.
I feel like while F3 has a great storyline and some really fun quests, it’s definitely one of the hardest Fallout games to play in my opinion. Leveling just seems to take forever and I always feel like I’m not wandering the wasteland so much as I’m wandering (and getting lost in) the metro tunnels. I also feel like (besides Charon and Dogmeat) the companions in F3 are just so forgettable. Plus they can die.
I will say though—Three Dog remains the absolute best radio announcer/DJ in all the games.
Every time someone in the Fallout show mentions "fighting the good fight" or Galaxy News shows up, I can't help but think about my first love

Dean Domino
Craig Boone
The Ghoul (Cooper Howard)
Arcade Gannon

I’m not adding Dogmeat or ED-E. What, you wanted me to make this SUPER easy?
i love three dog so, so much, but something ive noticed recently while having gnr radio on is that his intermissions get very repetitive... you could say this about mr new vegas as well (or any of the fallout radios for that matter) but i never really got that with new vegas. this might just be me going insane but i wish there were more little variations of dialogue for him. i suppose ive just been playing fallout 3 too much
