i had a dream the other night that i tried to read Ulysses again after last year i got 200 pages in. except the 200 pages I'd already read were completely different this time and there were loads of new characters and things i couldn't remember, as well as no sign of the things i could (malachi mulligan and leopold bloom were completely absent, stephen dedalus was there but doing very odd shit). i was so frustrated i was genuinely in tears and i woke up very agitated.
this is what nightmares are like if you're a FUCKING NERD‼️
𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝗱𝘆𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘂𝘀. 1891. Oil on canvas: 148 × 92 cm (58 × 36 in). By John William Waterhouse.
James Joyce’s Ulysses is one of those books that I like but cannot get through for the life of me. I started it in December. I am finally at chapter 15. For the love of God, let me finish this thing soon
(Mind you, I’ve read like 10 other books in the meantime because I cannot only read Ulysses because of how much energy it consumes to read it)

So, Damon, about your… ‘attitude’ yesterday, what do you think of that?
Awful. None of that was me, alright? I don't even remember most of it. None of that makes sense to me and is indicative of nothing about me.
