A certain demographic of Fallout TV fans get super defensive when you call them out on how they treat Max. And they'll always try to deflect by saying: "Actually we LOVE Max" but when you look through their blog/twitter you'll never ever see them talk about him, almost like he doesn't exist. And they'll remove him from every single narrative in the show's story.
Maybe if you're lucky, you'll see them ship him with Dane or Thad in a once in a blue moon post: because that's the only way his character can exist to them, as the guy in a token side ship. They always completely ignore his importance in the show's story and narrative, and his status as one of the main characters.
