This amazing photo, is one of my favorites from my latest photo shoot with Darryl Plants. Shout out to @jan_macinnes for holding lights cuz she's an awesome friend! Black and white photos are really special in my opinion. When just looking at the contrast, it highlights so many details you otherwise wouldn't have noticed. Then you also have the opportunity to imagine what the colors in the photo were, or even imagine them how ever you'd like to see it. You color it how you choose! In that way, it's sorta like life. If we look at it with the contrast, sometimes it highlights those little things we usually miss. This is precisely why when my life gets tough, I retreat till I can fill my cup back up with clarity, love, and hope. 🙏 Those are the things that I want to spill out when I get rattled and if I find that is not what's coming out, it's time for me to spiral back within. ☕ I'm not perfect. I know that, because no one is. I would however, like to strive to be the best version of myself possible and monitoring that is no one's responsibility but my own. I have to carefully monitor my energy levels and what my priorities are to keep things straight. Sometimes it's difficult to picture what my best version is, or who I am aiming to be, but it always comes back to myself.
