I wish I could hold every young black lesbian and let them know they do Not have to be the masculine one , they donโt have to be the strong one, they donโt have to be the taking care of others all the time. Weโre also allowed to have people gentle to us , we can be weak and sensitive, we are allowed to be soft and feminine, we donโt have to constantly overcompensate. And the ones that are masculine you deserve to be loved so gently too, you deserve flowers and kisses and love letters. Youโre allowed to just be black and pretty and let the world love you.
And the world will love you simply because you exist not by the basis of what you have to offer to others.
