#tfrid bumblebee

All Transformers have a scent that's uniquely theirs. You can smell it off them from birth and then it sorta dulls a bit as they age, but you can still smell it off them here and there, usually in their vehicle modes.

Here's some I've listed.

Bumblebee: Warm honey.

Strongarm: Patchouli.

Sideswipe: Birchwood campfire.

Grimlock: Freshly cut grass.

Drift: Musky jasmine.

Slipstream: Honeysuckle and lime.

Jetstorm: Lilies of the valley and lime.

Steeljaw: Baked bread.

Thunderhoof: Maple syrup.

Fracture: Lavender.

Airazor: Petrichor and neroli.

Divebomb: Petrichor and oranges.

Underbite: Iron, mostly.

Clampdown: Seawater.

Fixit: Burnt sage.

Optimus Prime: Laundry detergent (Tide brand).

Windblade: Elderberries.

Glowstrike: Bubblegum.

Saberhorn: Bee balm.

Scorponok: Damp wood.

Quillfire: Pine.

Scatterspike: Lemon balm.

Vince, after firing a missile at a con: And Flint told me to pack light.

Also, considering Vince's use of Cybertronian curse words, imagine the human adults thinking 'aw, how sweet of him to use made up cusses' but put him in front of a bot & even the cons are contemplating putting soap in his mouth.

And taking inspo from an absolutely amazing & heartwarming Glad You Came OC animatic, imagine a similar animatic but with Smokescreen, Flint & Vince. Imagine if the final verse is adult!Vince sitting beside Smokescreen & they're both reminiscing over the past.

Vince: I don't think the little shit I was said this enough back then but....thank you. For everything.

Smokescreen: There's no need for thank yous between us. Also, you're still a little shit.

Vince, smirking: Pot meet kettle.

Smokescreen, chuckling: I'm glad you came, Vince.

Vince: And I'm glad you never truly left.

Yes! This! Smokescreen absolutely saw every "delinquent"/a troubled kid finding an outlet because he had no one as Vince in another part of life. The circumstances are different, the abuse not as obvious/not physical, but the core traits were always there. And Smokescreen's so patient and so kind that he'll not just always reach out to those kids, but can get through to them when no one else can (Oooooo, Smokey being a social worker is actually way better than an old fan idea I saw somewhere of him becoming an Archivist. If anything, he became a cop just so he could provide some kind of help to all the kids he knows are out there, but that Cybertronian social services can't help.)

Sideswipe's misunderstanding of "Vince the Cybertronian comrade" gets quickly straightened out after 1 meeting him at Denny's place, and 2 he Macgyvers anything in hand's reach to become a weapon.

Sideswipe: Okay, I know this Decepticon Hunter can turn into any weapon I imagine, but can you please please show me all the weapons you've made so I can know what to use?

Vince: Promise you won't show 'em off to the government, and you've got yourself a deal.

Nightra: If I can't get you to adopt me, I'm either annoying Smokescreen into it or finding this Flint, because one of them enabled you, and I need that freedom.

Sideswipe: Join the club, Nightra!

Smokescreen, temporarily oblivious as he catches up with Flint on the phone/comm: You got hitched to Lady Jaye? Nice! Hey, is that crying? Awww, you two had a Sparkling! Heh, haven't settled yet, but I basically got a kid in Sideswipe. Bee's trying to take Nightra under his doorwing, but I - have a sudden suspicion that might be under threat...?

Lol yeah, the humans (sans Flint, the kids, and a few others) think Vince is trying to avoid foul language after using it so long, but in reality he basically exchanged it for Spanish swears (Ironhide taught him some extras, you can't change my mind.)

Awww, that video is so beautiful! Smokescreen and Vince would totally stop by Flint and Lady Jaye's, and they'd get to meet their niece Marissa Faireborn and catch up...awww.

Lady Jaye: Rumor has it that Optimus' public alliance with Earth is making Uncle Sam consider a new military institution.

Vince: Oh yeah, I think I caught wind of that. I just can't remember what it's called?

Flint, bouncing Marissa in his arms as she giggles: They're planning on calling it the Earth Defense Command. I'd go for Starfleet myself, but I guess it's too well guarded in the copyright department.

Smokescreen: I think it has a good ring. And if it gets to be a joint force between Autobots and humans, we'll probably get to see each other more often.

Vince, ruffling Marissa's hair: Be awesome if Marissa joined it someday.

Lady Jaye, smiling: Given how Flint spoiled her with stories of "Uncle Smokey", I have no doubt she will.

Strongarm's optics widened as she saw a familiar figure limping towards them, his headlights shining into the cave.

"Got room for two more...?"

"Lieutenant!"

She hurried towards him, but then saw the other bot in his arms— his entire body battered and bleeding, and his optics closed. "Sideswipe...!"

"We made it out... But he needs repair, badly."

The others nodded, "Bring him over here." Denny encouraged, "Russell, grab Grim's tarp."

Strongarm swallowed hard, "We know it made us harder to find for us to have moved from where the groundbridge sent us, but-"

"No, no... You did the right thing. Fortunately, I had a feeling this is where you'd go."

The lieutenant carried Sideswipe over to a cleared spot, while Denny and Russell folded Grimlock's tarp into a pillow of sorts to support the downed bot's helm as he laid him down. Sideswipe didn't even react to the movement, his coloring dulled and dented.

Fixit rolled over to him immediately, "I'll do what I can, Lieutenant."

"I know you will... The rest of us need to figure out a plan..."
