Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 19).
All Transformers have a scent that's uniquely theirs. You can smell it off them from birth and then it sorta dulls a bit as they age, but you can still smell it off them here and there, usually in their vehicle modes.
Here's some I've listed.
Bumblebee: Warm honey.
Strongarm: Patchouli.
Sideswipe: Birchwood campfire.
Grimlock: Freshly cut grass.
Drift: Musky jasmine.
Slipstream: Honeysuckle and lime.
Jetstorm: Lilies of the valley and lime.
Steeljaw: Baked bread.
Thunderhoof: Maple syrup.
Fracture: Lavender.
Airazor: Petrichor and neroli.
Divebomb: Petrichor and oranges.
Underbite: Iron, mostly.
Clampdown: Seawater.
Fixit: Burnt sage.
Optimus Prime: Laundry detergent (Tide brand).
Windblade: Elderberries.
Glowstrike: Bubblegum.
Saberhorn: Bee balm.
Scorponok: Damp wood.
Quillfire: Pine.
Scatterspike: Lemon balm.
Paralon: Violets.
How do you feel about Deadlock x Drift selfcest tbh
Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 28).
Not all the bots are landlocked. Steeljaw can swim, so can Thunderhoof and Springload, but they all do it for different reasons.
Steeljaw just likes to swim sometimes, and he also goes fishing when he feels like it. Thunderhoof has a taste for water plants and will willingly go swimming very far out from the mainland just to find a lush bed. Springload mainly does it to cool off.
Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 27).
Baby Beastformers actually have individual species names to call them by (like how you call a baby cat a kitten) instead of just sparklings and younglings.
Scorpicons: Scorplings.
Spidercons: Spiderlings.
Chompazoids: Chompies or Chompers.
Sharkticons: Pups/cubs.
Centipedeocons: Pedelings.
Wolfcons: Pups/cubs (very young pups may even be called kits though its uncommon).
Buffaloids: Calves.
Elkbots: Fawns.
Cancericons: Zoae.
Erethizobots: Porcupettes.
Anurabots: Tadpoles (taddies for short).
Foxcons: Kits, sometimes pups or cubs.
Anisopterobots: Nymphs.

Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 26).
There's a difference between how Scorpicons of different ages or different physical states hunt.
Young or more energetic/healthy Scorpicons (like Paralon) will favour running down their prey into exhaustion. They have the energy and endurance to pursue prey even up trees and cliffs.
Older or sick/injured Scorpicons (like Scorponok) prefer ambush tactics. They lie in wait for their prey instead since it helps save energy for say, recovering or more important matters.
Nursing Scorpicons or those who's Scorplings can't hunt yet also use ambush tactics. They have to get back to their littles alive, after all.
Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 25).
Steeljaw has the most energy when it's dark out. Wolfcons and Canicons in general alternate between diurnal, cathemeral, crepuscular and nocturnal cycles depending on the individual. Steeljaw is between crepuscular and nocturnal.
He goes for a run in the forest just before dawn breaks and when dusk sets in, and will nap in short spans throughout the day and night. He's normally a bit slower in the mornings, but not full-on sleeping. He'll settle for a siesta if he's too tired though.
Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 24).
Slipstream and Jetstorm knead on their pillows when they're asleep. You know how cats knead on things when they're relaxed? Same.
They do it on whatever they sleep, even the 'bots's chests and laps although the main problem there is 1. They may look small but they're deceptively heavy and 2. That means when they're on your lap, they'll accidentally cut off your blood/oil/Energon flow.
Doesn't stop the 'bots from scooping them up and just cradling them to sleep though.
