A tasty and wholesome Paleo substitute for regular potato fries are these Garlic Rosemary Taro Fries. Taro root is high in vitamins and fiber, and this simple dish gains depth and flavor from the aromatics of the garlic and rosemary.
Ingredients: 3 medium-sized taro roots, peeled and cut into fries. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary. Sea salt and black pepper, to taste.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 425F 220C. Toss the chopped rosemary, minced garlic, olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper into a big bowl and toss until the taro fries are evenly coated. Arrange the seasoned taro fries in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Fries should be baked for 25 to 30 minutes in a preheated oven, turning them over halfway through, or until the outsides are crispy and golden brown. Take out of the oven and serve warm. Have fun!
