THIS IS SO ACCURATE LMAO. Really, James is just doing whatever evan wants him to, and evan wants him to listen to barty. If he was asked if he wanted to listen to what barty says, then that's a different story.
James is a very hard person to push to the limit, he can take a lot (of dick and insults). Evan is constantly looking for more from people. He loves pushing boundaries and James is just so willing to do whatever, he ends up becoming evan's own personal fucktoy.
Barty is much less enthusiastic about their new addition than evan, probably because of the attention evan gives him. However, once he figures out that James doing whatever evan wants has him doing what barty wants too he becomes much more happy about the arrangement.
While barty is the type to give James instructions to make himself feel good, evan likes to push and pull and grab until James is where evan wants him to be. Evan could grab him by the hair and shake james' head back and forth just for fun and james would follow along willingly.
james spends a lot of time waiting and watching evan and barty fuck each other until he becomes of use and evan is telling him to come over. I don't want to say evan is gentle with him because he's not but he is very good at switching between soft and strict with his words. He's a manipulator so really it comes naturally to him.

It's all a mess of James trying so hard to be good and being told he's useless.
