Procrastinating going for a run and taking selfies instead because I know I've left it too late & it's gonna be too hot 🥵🤦🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

7/10: Sockeye salmon in the fish ladder at the Ballard Locks

After work today, my car said it was 104 degrees...it's actually 94 but still feels like 105! I was determined to get out there though, and managed a mini 1.6 mile run on this scorcher of a day. I was moving like a slug, but it's done...not to lay on the floor for a bit. 😓

I had fun with some sprints today, I'm starting to really enjoy them and it's getting me SO EXCITED FOR LONG SUNSET RUNS AT HOME IN THE SUMMER 🏃‍♀️This will be my 5th (I think?) summer of running and I just love it, I run the same route round the countryside a few times a week at sunset but I just can't ever get bored of it it's gorgeous and I can't wait to post pics here ☺ Feeling really good today, just one lecture this afternoon and then a loooovely walk home and my little sister is coming to stay with me!! I really miss her when I'm at uni so I can't wait 😅 taking her to Frankie & Benny's for dinner tonight so today is just fabulous! Hope everyone's had a great week!

It was a perfect day for a 12km run today. It was warm and there was no wind. I think every cyclist in Christchurch was out riding too. We ran down the track by the beach. I struggled a bit at the end. Plenty of room for improvement. It was such a lovely day I took the foam roller out onto the little deck and rolled out there. It was a bit hard on the hands though. Run done, steps goal met, rolled out the knots and on with Sunday.

Beautiful trail run today through the forest! A windy summers day here in Otago, NZ... perfectly refreshing for time outdoors.
