☕ Morning Coffee – Before You Hurry Past It Benjamin Groff II encourages readers to savor the present rather than constantly waiting for the future. He emphasizes that life unfolds in everyday moments, urging everyone to appreciate seemingly mundane experiences. By taking time to notice life's simplicity, we might find joy in ordinary days. Cherish today, as it won't come again....
Today I finally adjusted the mattresses on my bed (longer story, you just need to know that I thought it would take hours and then it only took 20mins!). It feels like a HUGE victory right there!
But I also assembled two drawers for under the bed. Extra victory!
And because I now had somewhere to put the last of my moving mess, I put everything away and the last mess I got is 99% yarn that I will be using for diy Christmas gifts and 1% other things that will be put away soon enough. Another victory!
I think I found all the patches I got this far for my future battle dress. And I put them all at the same place! Super victory there 🤘🏻
The doll bed my grandpa made for me when I was a baby has now been placed in my girls' room. They will have more use for it than me. Lol.
And I had a (long distance) movie date with a guy in Vienna. So nice! (Even though I was too race-y in my head to concentrate so I also solved some crosswords and played some games on my phone, during the film).
I love today. I thought it would suck (in my calendar I named it my house chores-day), but it turned out so productive and good. I have set the whole day tomorrow aside just for self care. Physically and mentally.
I think I have learned to love my childfree weeks. They feel a lot less overwhelming by now. So I can properly prepare for next week when they'll be here. It feels SO good!
