Finished with my spider cross stitch piece (now including other bugs and slugs)! π£ π€ π¦ π’₯
The final spider I stitched is a flattened jumping spider (Platycryptus californicus), a little guy I see pretty often where I live. The slugs and bugs aren't based on anything in particular, I just thought they'd be nice accents.
I used beads that I broke in half (some accidental, some purposely) as the abdomens for some of the beetles. I also used more metallic thread for the slug trails, to match with the orbweaver's web.
