i don’t think it counts as a “pet peeve,” because it’s not really a recurring thing, but it’s somewhat annoying that Matt keeps misusing the word “boorish” in-character as Artagan in episode 95. I think he’s trying to suggest “boring,” or something similar, but what it actually means is “rude.” I don’t think Artagan is actually complaining that the Wildmother is rude, that doesn’t sound like him at all, I think it’s just one of those things where sometimes you think a word means something else than what it means and it’s never really come up so you don’t ever learn differently.
How Buttercup sees Staid
maybe the reason i feel so awkward in every social situation is because i was raised with two very different social standards and never managed to properly reconcile them

staid for stayed
we were nothing
but bored kids
hanging round our small town
looking for things to do
excited by new
finding booze a rush
stealing it wherever we could
having no funds of our own
looking for drugs
growing plants from bird seed
in the woods
I got out first chance I could
& when or if I go back
to that same small town
I see him skulking the margins
still bored
no funds of his own
looking for something still
