I want to learn war strategy. I have to know about past battles and conclicts from different countries first. Gather ideas from people all over the world and see what they would do. I need to meet a chess master to know how he sees his opponents next move. But for a youngster, I should play games that needs actual war tactics and history.
The skills needed to be a strategist are deep understanding, gathering information, and destroying ones will to fight. These will be useful in my life. How? If I were to be an entreprenuer, or a pediactrician, or a baker, then I would need deep understanding of the task at hand. I would be skillful enough to gather enough information about how to trick, heal, or make it taste better. "Destroying ones will to fight," it sounds harsh, but it is helpful in negotiations, and calming someone down.
Having a stable mind is needed in my whole life to show I know things you do not.
In my opinion, learning strategies for war would improve intuation and expertise.
Yes, yes, I have a young mind so I do not know much. All I know is what I've experienced up until now. That is why, I need people's thoughts and opinions on such matter.
Short story
Someone asked me, "how did you get into Karate?" First of all, I've technically never done 'Karate'- the Japanese form of 'empty hand' that involves basically being able to take and give huge hits. Secondly, I've always been interested. I've had childish glee watching those amazing athletes perform complex and often dangerous feats of strength speed and flexibility. I fascinated by the importance of subtle technique hidden behind massive power. The focus on self discipline, compassion for others, and friendly competition. The philosophy of continuous improvement. So I did what everyone should do when so enamored with anything. I did the thing. I became a martial artist. I'm not as good as those who practice all day, though it would be a dream of mine. To me, that's not the point. I fell in love with something, and have followed it through my life. Today, I know I can hold my own in a fight. I'm physically stronger, and tougher, then most people I know. I'm a bit overweight, but no one notices because if how I can move. But most importantly, I have something in my life I am proud of. I cannot stress how much this has helped me. So if you fall in love with something, research it. If you still love it, try it. If you still love it, do it. You won't regret it, unless it's illegal.
When a stable mind is in the body, the eyes and the ears will be clear, the hands and feet will be firm. Due to a stable mind essence itself will remain in residence. (16.2a)
