Part of Starfleet Academy’s biggest challenge is balancing the scales between being a Teen Drama and Being Star Trek, two things they’ve proven can coexist (“Vox in Excelsio”), but can also fall out of balance in a notable way (“Beta Test”) or go so far as to turn Star Trek into the set dressing (“Vitus Reflux”) but the fact they had an episode as good as Vox in Excelsio already when Star Trek can and will take entire seasons to get their footing is encouraging.
