So, I saw the Masters of the Universe and everything it said about it being silly and insulting to He-Man is a LIE. A terrible lie. My only criticism is that two times, they cracked jokes at the wrong time, but overall, it was a great movie and I don't call many movies "great" these days. I think Hollywood is healing itself.

Physically disabled Masters of the Universe characters
1. Trap Jaw
Heās lost at least his right arm and jaw. Both legs below the knee may also be prosthetics. Note the parts shared with Man-E-Faces (credit to Battle Ram BlogĀ https://battleramblog.com/Ā ): I donāt think the fiction has ever talked about Man-Eās body below the head, so maybe he counts, maybe he doesnāt?
2. Tri-Klops: blind. Never addressed in theĀ ā80s, confirmed in 2002.
3. Mekaneck. As explained in the ā80s episode āSearch for a Sonā, he would be quadriplegic if Man-At-Arms hadnāt found him with a broken neck after a camping accident and gotten him a cyborg neck.
4. Fisto. Lost his right arm below the elbow. Seen on-screen in a 2002 episode.
5. Jitsu. A rarely-used character, Jitsu must be included because he clearly mirrors Fisto.
6. Spikor. Lost left hand. Like Trap Jawās multiple attachments, he can swap between an extending trident and a blacksmithās hammer. In theĀ ā80s cartoon, he went from having two intact hands to his trident without the injury being addressed.
7. Rio Blast.
... heās got a hollow torso and thighs. I donāt know, folks. The UK comics and 1987 Mattel style guide say this poor man was given his cybernetics to save his life after defending his home world Loredos from an attack by Horde Prime, and then the Astro-Jail he was working in was hit by a meteor, which he got stuck to and it subsequently crashed into Eternia.
8. Rotar. Lost at least both legs. Man-At-Arms saved his life.
There are more! However, Iāll stop counting here for now because I donāt know if itās time to move on to deep cuts like Terroar and Trap Jaw II or if there are more famous characters to count.

TubiTV added some more Riff Trax, Watching SPIKER a movie about a guy trying to get into the US Olympic Volleyball team , an 80s sex comedy trying to be a serious drama.. this is accidental comedy gold. Also check out Rifftrax does Cynthia Rothrocks Honor and Glory(great memory of Clintons b movie nights there). They also have a secondary commentary on Missile to the Moon where recently passed comedian Fred Willard joins in on the riffing.
Spiker (1986)
With a cover eluding that its Volleyball movie with super powers but its not. Its about a man who joins the Olympic volleyball team by leaving his friends , his medical school and career as well as a change to play for competitive cash. Joins the team and he hates it and his coach hates him.. BUT its the 80s so he has to show he is no quitter so he can win a sport in the Olympics no one will care about. For five minutes there is a communist spy story but they move past it. Now imagine ditching your whole life for a shitty part of the Olymics and right after you win your life must obviously go no where. So much pride. Oh yeah and the dad from Jack Frost is in it and plays so much Volleyball for no money that his wife leaves him, but hey he is in the Olympics so he has his pride. Wooooo for the honor of not even getting your name added to Nes Super spike v'ball. When it starts you think this must be a sun and sand sex comedy but no itās just karate kid with no action and depressing. Which makes perfect for the RiffTrax boys to comment and make it literally hilarious to hype how dramatically and intense these actors are about the lamest story in American history. Boom Shack a Lacka ... nope.Ā
To quote the riffsĀ āhates quitters more than Joe Camelā . I guess the moral is true cause they should have quit making this shitty movie but thank goodness they didnāt cause now we can all make fun of it for being a piece of shit. Good times. I wish I could come up with more VolleyBall or Olympic puns but I couldnāt even think how to add a pun based on the word Spike into this.Ā That is literally how unimportant Volleyball is without beaches . bikinis and coolers full of Michelob... hell do they even make Michelob anymore?
It would have been cooler if it was competitive Frisbee and they were on the beach with girls in bikinis... and they put blades on the frisbee.... and it killed an armed guard by getting him in the neck... oh yeah, Im gonna go watch Hard Ticket to Hawaii, fuck you guys, Iām outta here. Wooo party in the sun times baby!!
Funny riffs all around but seriously how much cooler would it have been if it was of Spikor from Masters of the Universe...Ā
Adoraās home planet turns out to have a huge transhumanistĀ transapientist community.
Entrapta gets permission to let Hordak leave his house arrest on Etheria to attend with her.
Bow and Huntara are their chaperones.
But could some Ex-Horde supersoldiers and other Neāer-do-wells plan on causing trouble?Ā Or are they just here to sincerely enjoy an exchange of ideas?
---
Below is a list of possible attendees
(Unmade character Battle Woman. This concept would later lead to the "Mara" character in New Adventures of He-Man that the She-Ra Reboot homages. Though the character would be retooled as a politician rather than a warrior, then awkwardly a warrior to give more āstrong female charactersā in way that some found forced. Which...oddly enough SPOP Mara never wanting to be a hero rather fitting in a meta-way. Huh.)
(Extendar)
(Sy-Klone)
(Buzzoff in at least original continuity as seen by these wings lit up. Was also the hostage He-Man had to save from the Horde in multiple advertisements, fitting due to their role as a scout)Ā
Man-E-Faces (I pulled bits from all his different portrayals for an idea here)
Here for the philosophical discussion on the nature of identity.
A magically mutated former-actor who calls upon the "totems" of the ideals of Monsters and Robots (its Eternia, both are part of the cultural consciousness).
Over time they have gained the ability to redefine "monster" to be more heroic and less bestial, making the form no longer vulnerable to mind control
Perhaps meeting Emily could help him redefine his robot personality as well.
Skeletorās Gang
Trap Jaw: Hired thug for evil, usually Skeletor. Intelligent when it comes to engineering and nothing else
Spikor
An armorer who had his life change when he fused with a magical mask
Is oddly enough here to talk about ethics of transformation..i.e āwhy we need to make creating cursed items that transform people a crime punishable by a fate worse than death.ā
"Is Skeletor okay with you saying this?"
"He congratulates himself whenever the legal punishment for one of his signature types of crimes goes up, he feels he's being recognized and given his proper due. So yeah, he's thrilled"
Horde Cyborgs and other
Cy-Chop. Former Bounty hunter who was repaired by a scientist after being gravely injured fleeing Horde Law Enforcement. Was designed to homage Japanese cyborg toy aesthetics.Ā
Mosquitor (last photos is with mask pried off on the 2002 toy. Old 80s bio said they came from a peaceful race and could rapidly suit up to cause trouble after gaining trust .)
Dragstor. (could easily be redesigned so a member of Hordakās kind under there, I note.)
In case its not clear whatās going on: he has a tire in his belly and thrusters on his back.
A scientist who turned themselves into a shapeshifting hive-mind of body parts, ala the movie TheĀ
Crawling Hand crossed with The Thing.
Once even sent themselves as different body parts in the mail, then breaking out of packaging and merging together once reaching their destination
And in the cartoon (which was only shown with one head and one body configuration to make animating easier) created prosthetic such as giant mallets to replace his hands, and event tried to download someones brain into a second mechanical head (which resembled the design of the other head included in the toy the animators otherwise ignored. Which probably lead to some really dark AUs in kids' playtime activities.)
So...Entrapta and Hordak might want to be worried about him "adding them to the family".
MotU mini-comic by Bruce Timm: The Terror Claws Strike
Another mini-comic both penciled and inked by Bruce Timm.
Poor Rattlor, physically abused AND miscolored.
Military amateurs think about tactics, professionals think about logistics. Though itās not clear how destroying crops (āFEAST on the Eterniansā MISERY!ā) benefits him.
Spikor has his own home and works as a blacksmith, which would be why heās rarely at Snake Mountain for Skeletor to use as a henchman. In the Filmation cartoons, he was only a henchman inĀ āVisitors From Earthā,Ā āThe Gamesā and the Christmas Special.
Uh, Skeletor, buddy? Just cast some spells while heās walking away from you.
