Anyways they’re up on artfight with all their lore too (most of it)
Come and see-> https://artfight.net/~AstralSpeck
An art gifting game
Physically disabled Masters of the Universe characters
1. Trap Jaw
He’s lost at least his right arm and jaw. Both legs below the knee may also be prosthetics. Note the parts shared with Man-E-Faces (credit to Battle Ram Blog https://battleramblog.com/ ): I don’t think the fiction has ever talked about Man-E’s body below the head, so maybe he counts, maybe he doesn’t?
2. Tri-Klops: blind. Never addressed in the ‘80s, confirmed in 2002.
3. Mekaneck. As explained in the ‘80s episode “Search for a Son”, he would be quadriplegic if Man-At-Arms hadn’t found him with a broken neck after a camping accident and gotten him a cyborg neck.
4. Fisto. Lost his right arm below the elbow. Seen on-screen in a 2002 episode.
5. Jitsu. A rarely-used character, Jitsu must be included because he clearly mirrors Fisto.
6. Spikor. Lost left hand. Like Trap Jaw’s multiple attachments, he can swap between an extending trident and a blacksmith’s hammer. In the ‘80s cartoon, he went from having two intact hands to his trident without the injury being addressed.
7. Rio Blast.
... he’s got a hollow torso and thighs. I don’t know, folks. The UK comics and 1987 Mattel style guide say this poor man was given his cybernetics to save his life after defending his home world Loredos from an attack by Horde Prime, and then the Astro-Jail he was working in was hit by a meteor, which he got stuck to and it subsequently crashed into Eternia.
8. Rotar. Lost at least both legs. Man-At-Arms saved his life.
There are more! However, I’ll stop counting here for now because I don’t know if it’s time to move on to deep cuts like Terroar and Trap Jaw II or if there are more famous characters to count.
Today’s disabled character of the day is Rotar from Master of the Universe, who is an amputee
[Image Description: Photo of a plastic figure silver top shaped bottom prosthetic hip that is shaped like a top. He is wearing a red helmet, blue vest, red harness, and blue gloves. He has black eyes.]
“Rotar” An Air Car That Actually Flies
On the back of the photo:
“Rotar” - An Air Car that actually flies: Built by Ed Roth of Maywood Calif. and powered by two Triumph motorcycle engines from Bell Auto Parts of Los Angeles. Total weight of entire vehicle is 750lbs. Toured Nationally by Show Car Division of Promotions, Inc.” Photo by Robert Hegge Courtesy of INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AUTO SHOWS P.O. By “fly” they mean, “flies” really fast - not that it actually takes flight. ;)
