Isn't that ABSOLUTELY insane ??? Metal, when given the opportunity to act on its own and not be dampened by outside forces, has the ability to grow to such power that this many characters have to defeat them. As you said: ON PAR IF NOT GREATER THAN THE LITERAL SUN GOD. Even if created by Robotnik (Eggman? I use the names interchangeably, they ARE the same guy, correct?) Metal's ai/sentience still gives it the ability to act on its own, to some degree. Maybe due to certain coding parameters? But that's an entire different rant lol. Still, this implies he has the knowledge and capability of getting that powerful.

But yeah that's insane. That's freaking insane. Can we powerscale this guy/silly

YEAH. YEAH. YEAHHHHHH. Since Sonic and Eggman are mortal, if they die, who else keeps Metal in check? It's obviously able to repair itself if it gets the correct documents and information (most likely from downloading Robotnik's databases when he inevitably dies) and there isn't anyone else who'd really be able to do anything about them, especially if it decides to withdraw from attacking anyone to plan, maybe even being assumed "dead" or dismantled.

It must be CRAZY for Silver to just watch or listen to his friends talk about Metal Sonic like its nothing, while in his own world they're some crazy superpower. Sonic and Eggman CONSISTENTLY underestimate it, only because they know how to deal with it. Otherwise, there's literally nothing stopping it from going Neo again.

Metal Sonic is a real threat, clearly !!! Again, there are so many possibilities on how it could have ended the battle differently, and now that you mention Silver and his time travelling, that opens up a whole slew of possibilities and timelines he's had to go back and fix

Shakes you. YOU GET IT. YOU GET ITTTTT. No matter what it does, there's no escape. It's repeatedly beaten into submission, whether that be physically or "mentally" (Code-ally? You know what I mean lol)

It can't escape. No matter what options it might have, it'll never be truly free unless somehow Robotnik decides to remove its code, or it gets reset completely. But if so, would that still be the real Metal Sonic?

Metal Sonic was supposed to be a simple, one-sided villain. A robotic copy of our "Hero." And yet, they have grown to be so much more. Through the games and comics, it's shown to have genuine sentience, even after all those battles lost and damaged parts replaced. Even with some others (Shadow, as I mentioned in my long ass textpost) it manages to have a gesture of vague kindness, choosing to damage itself in order for the two of them to go back.

Metal Sonic is the tragedy of being so close to perfection, and being so hyperfocused on it, that everything else loses meaning. But did it ever even have a choice? To have such a creator who gave and taught it nothing but hatred and pain, to have only him to go back to? To have no other meaningful bonds? To not be anything more than their code?
