OH GOD I'M SO SORRY I'VE BEEN SUPER BUSY LATELY BUT please listen I would be super fucking interested to learn about about Eri's crime family lore even outside of DoL and I'm super sure I'm not the only one because who can resist a cute and sexy morally ambiguous pink girl with huge badonkers (I'm aware that femboy and masc Eri exist but I admit I saw lady Eri first and that's just how she exists in my brain) - Lost Anon
NO ITS OKAY DON'T APOLOGIZE!!! I'm glad to hear from you and I hope everything is going well over there!!!
But with that being said, I do think I'll be posting more of Eri's OC lore, but the issue is is that its so... convoluted. RHJBJERF Like they were originally a character I made in a post-apocalyptic modern setting(?) (Owari No Seraph/Seraph of the End), and then I took them out and decided to just use them as a general use OC. But that led to most of their story development happening in a very historical fantasy time period and a lot of said lore was basically re-created/re-translated to fit that narrative. HUREFJERF Now though, since getting in DOL, I've had to take back the re-created lore and re-do it into a more modern (less-fantastical) setting. So it's kind of a job here to do so!!
But I'm going about it slowly! Little by little! I'm happy that it seems more people are interacting me for Eri stuff rather than DOL so that gives me an incentive to be a bit more open about their stuff! So I'm really happy to hear you'd love to hear more about them!!! To be honest, all I got so far to show you are probably her family members? Not all of them of course, but here are the main characters besides Eri!
Eri has one older brother and many younger siblings but the most prevalent sibling is their youngest brother. Yasu sometimes shows up as a girl but Arthur only shows up as a boy. But in total, Eri has like 9 siblings (Yasu, Dante, Celine, Azalea, Lucas, Noah, Aria, Eloise, and Cosette) not counting any illegitimate ones that their father sires outside of his marriages.
(Apologies for the rough sketch).
Yasu is always the oldest, he's the half brother from their mother and the only family left behind by her. He's not related to any of the other siblings though because Yasu and Eri do not share the same dad. Arthur is always the youngest of the brothers but not the youngest sibling out of all the 9. Just the youngest brother.
Before DOL, whenever I do anything with Eri it was always with these three as a set. But because of DOL's setting where PC is an orphan, I had to separate them. HBRBFERF BUT NOW!!!! THATS NO LONGER AN ISSUE! I'm super excited to be doing stuff with the three of them again and so here's my formal introduction of the other two!!!
But for the crime family in of itself: it's the Hiiragi family, a criminal family that has roots from Japan and branched across the world. They're extremely powerful and specializes mostly in intel-gathering, selling information and gathering blackmail material. However, despite their professionalism and notoriety in the underworld, the Hiiragi family has a very 'cult-like' family sect structure that really emphasizes on male primogeniture and bloodlines. The Hiiragi family's head was Eri's mother, where they got their namesake from.
This is mama!! But unfortunately being an organization that's from you know Japan, they're very backwards in their thinking, so they were only willing to accept her as the head if she married and gave birth to a son. She did as was told, but the son was Yasu and she was in an abusive marriage to Yasu's father (horrible guy, worse guy I've ever made tbh). As the marriage fell apart, Yasu was no longer considered the heir to the family even though Mama was already quite old.
Hence, in a desperate attempt to ensure his daughter doesn't lose her place as the head, he rushed to find a man that's malleable enough to do their bidding but still a man enough to satisfy the organization's expectations for a man in the family. So they bring in an orphan boy who they raised to become her new husband. As soon as he hit 18 he was expected to immediately marry Mama and get to baby making. But mama was quite old and so passed during childbirth. The birth resulted in Eri
After Eri was born, Ichiro was placed as the head of the family and well, it was a rough time so thats what led to DOL lore Eri, where she was dropped off at the same orphanage her dad came from. It was Ichiro's hope that Eri would be adopted by a loving family that can give her a normal life but unfortunately Bailey never allowed it. But in this lore now, I'm going to be writing Eri being placed with a family friend and then eventually getting picked back up again to a life of crime :333
PHEW THAT WAS A LONG ONE. I apologize for the rambling anon, I hope this made some sense???? HBJERFBJHEHBERF I REALLY AM JUST SITTING ON A MOUNTAIN OF INFORMATION AND JUST WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO ASK ME STUFF
