welcome to the horrible shit anonling family lovely community my anonlings have built.
i, of course, am fond of many a jazz record, but i guess that's rather predictable, is it? in my more 'angsty' phases, i was an avid listener of western rock and post-punk bands of the nineties and noughties, like the strokes and franz ferdinand.
i've actually been really interested in post-rock as well as post-punk recently. a current favourite of mine is the icelandic band sigur rós. their vocalist has an amazing falsetto voice. they have a sort of made up 'language' called vonlenska (hopelandic in english) that they made an entire album in. it's similar in nature to the use of scat singing in vocal jazz.
i'll put some personal recommendations of mine under the cut.
