So megatron lectured me for about 90 minutes on his perspective on the war. It was uhhh. Lightly biased in favour of the decepticons, which was fine. I could have done without the graphic retelling of his victories. His poetry was pretty good though.
Still no answer bee so im gonna ask Knockout since hes a medic. He'd know best what the differences are im sure.

And the decepticons?
The majority of the decepticon army is drones. They break and you just make more. Fixing them costs more time and resources than making a new one.
